And whatever you do, don't peer out between the blinds.

[E3 2016] Hide In The Nearest Closet And Watch This Friday the 13th Gameplay

We've been giving Friday the 13th a lot of coverage lately.  Maybe it's because we really enjoy the idea of playing a group of terrified campers who just want to head home with all their arms and legs intact.  Maybe it's because we're afraid that if we miss any news, Jason will come directly to our respective homes and, well... do his thing.

Spook Campers With Friday The 13th Gameplay Trailers

Jason Voorhees tops the charts on kill counts as far as major horror villains are concerned. This guy's been skewering/bludgeoning/tearing the limbs off of naked, defenseless campers for a couple of decades now, so he's got way more blood on his hands than your typical "monster of the week." Perhaps that's why a co-op survival horror game based on Friday the 13th, makes sense over, say, a Jeepers Creepers game. Jason won't start to have an existential breakdown no matter how many campers you throw at him. Nope! He'll keep carving into those screaming, amoral teens without question!

The cops will save you...right?

Call for Help in Friday the 13th: The Game

Gun Media has released another short teaser about a new feature in the upcoming Friday the13th game. It looks like players will have the ability to call the police from a phone location randomly generated each match. That doesn't stop Jason from brutally murdering the counselors, who have to wait out a ten minute timer. Not only that, you have to spend precious seconds repairing the phone before the counselor can even make the call.

Funding your own demise.

Jason Lives! Friday the 13th Kickstarter Successfully Funded

Last February, we heard the rumblings of a new game based off of legendary villain/slasher Jason Voorhees. The game featured you and your terrified camp counselor cohorts co-operatively fleeing from Jason as he stalks around the "semi-open world" of Crystal Lake, brutally dismembering anyone he meets. The game was originally slated for a near Halloween release of this year. But, as it turns out, making a slasher co-op game takes a little bit more money and time than originally assumed. You just can't kill Jason, however, and the Friday the 13th Kickstarter met its goal a mere few hours ago.

He just keeps coming back.

A New Friday the 13th Game Announced For October 2015

Jason Voorhees is no doubt sharpening his favorite machete right this very moment as he awaits his debut on the small screen later this year. Everyone's favorite hockey-masked slasher won't have to endure his television show alone, however; he's getting a video game! Another one. One totally unrelated to the 1989 abomination so wretched not even Pamela Voorhees could love it. Currently slated for an October released, the project has been tentatively labeled as Friday the 13th: the Video Game
