To put this at the top of things, the DLC is very good! The two new classes (Necromancer and Inquisitor) are fun to play based on our time with it thus far, the level cap is now increased to 100, and we're all looking forward to checking out the new areas/loot (once we get that far). There is a lot of content you can get for $43 (base game + DLC) and as we do talk about (briefly) in the stream, it's a really solid action-RPG title.

In addition to thanking their early supporter community, Crate Entertainment has also revealed that there's big plans for Grim Dawn's future as well. In addition to standard updates, a ton of new features are also in the works, such as modding tools, Survival Mode, and an expansion.

Act II: Old Arkovia Released for Grim Dawn

Players are pit against the Four Hills gang all while exploring the city of Old Arkovia and uncovering the mystery behind the dwelling's final days. The content promises to have true replay value beyond loot, and focuses on player decisions that shape the world. In Act II: Old Arkovia players can now access the Steps of Torment, a challenge dungeon. Obstacles can now be destroyed with dynamite, and on the flip side it is possible to repair certain structures that open paths.

Grim Dawn's Early Release is Looking Bright

Grim Dawn is a classic action role-playing adventure with multiple classes and fast paced combat. The game features a co-op functionality, but specific details on how deep the co-op will go in the full title have yet to be revealed.

When Iron Lore studios closed its doors back in 2008, we were sad to hear the news. After all, Titan Quest, their action/RPG title fashioned in the same vein as Diablo, was a great co-op game and nicely filled that action/RPG void that Diablo II had left in our hearts since the late '90s. So when Crate Entertainment was formed earlier last year, we couldn't wait to see what that group would crank out. We had to wait another year, but Crate Entertainment has now announced their new action/RPG title: Grim Dawn.
