You wouldn't have to gaze into a crystal ball or read tea leaves to see this one coming. Another LEGO Harry Potter game is coming this holiday season. Imaginatively titled LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7, the game will chronicle the last three books (or four movies) in building block form. It's being released for pretty much every system known to Muggles: Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, Wii, DS, 3DS, PC, and even for the NGP.
What's this? A new LEGO video game based on the Lord of the Rings series? Unfortunately, no; at least, not to our knowledge, though it sounds like a good idea to us. We here at Co-Optimus have long been fans of the LEGO series, which has included co-op from the very beginning. From Star Wars to Harry Potter, and everywhere in between, the LEGO games have provided hours of fun for gamers of all ages through the years.
LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 is the 6th LEGO based family action game from Traveller’s Tales and it’s fair to say that they have the art of casual co-op mastered. Can the adventures of Harry, Ron and Hermione improve on the format or will the game be a load of old Hogwarts?

The demo is available now, and it looks like the folks at Traveller's Tales have brewed up a few new elements to combine with the components we all love to make a potion full of hours of casual co-op fun. Harry Potter was shocked to read about the delayed PSN demo
We just got a brand new trailer for LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 titled "Conjuring up Fun." The focus of the trailer is on the open nature of LEGO Games, and specifically the creative things you can do in the latest addition to the franchise. But what really grabbed our attention is the focus on co-op and a unique implementation of split screen co-op.
Warner Bros has announced that LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 will be available this May with 2 player co-op on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and PC. A specific date in May wasn't given.
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince was released this week on DVD and Blu-Ray, so what better time to explore next year's Harry Potter videogame called LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4. There's no firm release date yet, but we do know the title will support co-op play in similar fashion to other LEGO titles.
