Eric Murphy - Community Manager

Eric has been a gamer for as long as he can remember. His first gaming experiences were shared with his brothers on a Commodore 64 with games like Mario Brothers, Fire King, Double Dragon, and Save New York City. Eventually, he ventured into PC gaming where he expanded his experience to online gaming and participating in gaming communities. In college, he was thrown into console gaming (kicking and screaming) around the release of Halo:CE which was the start of his ultimate transition away from PC gaming. That transition was complete when he met his soon to be wife who is also a gamer. Now, you'll rarely find Eric gaming without his wife at his side, so "couch co-op" games like the Halo, Gears of War, and Left 4 Dead franchises are a staple of his game library.

When he's not gaming, he's working for a consulting firm as a software engineer, spending time with his family, or geeking out with one of his many computer related hobbies. At Co-Optimus, he is in charge of the forums where he feels at home engaging with the community.

The complete Magicka 2 play-through, brought to you by F.A.L.C.O.

Put On Your Bathrobe And Watch Us Play Magicka 2

There's nothing I enjoy more than putting on my bathrobe and pretending I know how to do magic on a Friday night. What could be better than that? How about jumping on Twitch and watching the Friday Awesomely Live Co-Op gang blow each other up in Magicka 2? Well, it's a little late for that since we beat the whole campaign, but lucky for you, we recorded it all so you can watch it right now.

From turn-based to frantic bullet hell in one episode

Shadowrun Meets Renegade Ops In The Latest Episode Of F.A.L.C.O.

The Friday Awesomely Live Co-Op crew has never claimed to know anything. The other editors here at Co-Optimus are smart, witty, and have their act together. F.A.L.C.O., on the other hand, are just three average gamer dads who enjoy unwinding after a week of working for the man. So last week, when we jumped into Shadowrun Chronicles: Boston Lockdown, we were surprised to find that all the missions we played were only two player!

Who knew there was another Monaco campaign?

F.A.L.C.O. Beats Zonaco; Discovers Monaco Fin Campaign

Last Friday, the Friday Awesomely Live Co-Op crew finished off Zonaco and suddenly felt an overwhelming feeling of emptiness as we realized we'd finished Monaco. Then our friend Bakken Hood pointed out that there's another campaign that goes by the name of Fin. That's "Fin" as in the French word meaning "The End," not "Finn," the handsome new hero of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Although, a Monaco campaign based on a Storm Trooper gone rogue, releasing a Resistance fighter from captivity, and escaping from a Star Destroyer together would be pretty bad-ass.

Featuring the illustrious Bakken Hood

Strategically Dying In Zonaco Brought To You By F.A.L.C.O.

We've probably played more Monaco than you care to watch, but this episode of Friday Awesomely Live Co-Op is worth your attention. We've played the majority of Zonaco (the zombie mode of Monaco) with just the three of us, and during this episode, we realized that we've been playing it wrong this whole time. Our good friend Bakken Hood joined us, and demonstrated his innate ability to strategically throw his body at Bloaters to great effect. Sure, we had to revive him several many many times, but he always managed to take out several zombies with him, or destroy lasers/turrets. Impressive, to say the least.

It's not co-op, but it's still awesome!

XCOM 2 Giveaway

I know what you're thinking. Why is a website dedicated to co-op gaming giving away XCOM 2, which doesn't feature co-op? Well, we have a code, you want it, we like you, so we're giving it to you. How's that for an answer? We were pretty happy with XCOM: Enemy Unknown so we have reason to believe that XCOM 2 will be stellar as well. While there's no co-op built-in to the game, you can always play-and-pass the game with your favorite couch co-op partner. Or you could let your partner play, then use your mind control skills on them to take over during the good parts.

Then celebrate with the finest $5 champagne

Watch F.A.L.C.O. Break Rashkovsky Out Of Prison

After what felt like 30 attempts at the Prison Break finale in GTA Online, we finally broke Rashkovsky out and got his butt on a plane. It was probably more like 10 attempts, but after all the bugs, glitches, poor decisions, bad luck, and irritating design flaws, this mission was really starting to wear us thin. The Friday Awesomely Live Co-Op crew doesn't give up though, and I must say, our final successful run makes us look like professionals. Ok, maybe that's a stretch, but it was relatively flawless.

Watch Us Fail The Prison Break Heist In GTA Online

Nobody said it would be easy, but we weren't expecting to spend two hours failing the Prison Break heist finale over and over again. The Friday Awesomely Live Co-Op crew was having a rough Friday last week, and never managed to get Rashkovski out of prison successfully. After last week, we're starting to re-think our glowing opinions of GTA Online, but we're still willing to give it another shot.

Friday Awesomely Live "Co-Op" re-define co-operation in GTA Online

Watch F.A.L.C.O. Complete The Prison Break Heist Setup Missions

After last week's spout of seemingly never-ending (not to mention pointless) crime spree, the Friday Awesomely Live Co-Op crew started off this episode with a very clear goal. Pull off The Prison Heist in GTA Online. Despite several mix-ups and bad luck, we were able to finish the setup missions for The Prison Heist, the first of four 4-player heists we'll be attempting.

No elderly people were harmed in the production of episode 19 of F.A.L.C.O.

F.A.L.C.O. Causing A Ruckus In GTA Online

This past friday, the Friday Awesomely Live Co-Op crew proved that a life of crime can start with BMX bikes, your friends, and your local Los Santos gas station. Well, that and some guns. If our GTA Online shenanigans prove anything, it's that we'd make pretty awesome criminals. Good thing the three of us are too lazy to actually try any of this in real life, because if we did, there'd be a trail of destruction, murdered cops, and stolen helicopters. On the other hand, that penthouse apartment on Wild Oats Drive looks pretty dope. Seriously, the lines between GTA Online and reality are starting to fade. Maybe I need to see my shrink.

Have fun in GTA Online without that pesky PvP nonsense

F.A.L.C.O. Teaches You How To Get Started In GTA Online

When GTA Online launched, we weren't so sure it offered a good co-op experience. Since the addition of co-op heists, and numerous patches which added co-op friendly features, we can gladly say that there's a ton of co-op fun to be had in GTA Online. The Friday Awesomely Live Co-Op team will show you how to from zero to hero in just a few hours. It certainly helps to have a higher level co-op buddy to play with, but you can make due without.
