We get press releases all the time, and most are pretty boring. But every once in a while, one comes along that blows us away. Such was the case when we received the news that the next Game With Fame night features "Weird Al" Yankovic, and one of our favorite music games, Guitar Hero 5. We just might wrap up and roll around in a roll of bubble wrap, we're so excited!
"Weird Al" will be playing GH5 on December 15, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM EST. If you're interested in playing with a musical AND comedic genius, look for the gamertag "WeirdAL GwF". Just make sure your rims stay stationary, or he might not play with you.
If you missed out on Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 earlier today, perhaps you'll want to try to snag the recently released Guitar Hero 5?
The four player co-op game was dubbed one of the best music games this fall by our own music game veteran Marc. With plenty of co-op friendly features like drop-in and drop-out as well as the ability to play any instrument you like, it's easy to see why.
It's available for the next four hours or so on Amazon for $30, or 50% off, for the PS2, 360 and PS3.
Also available is Resident Evil 5 for the 360 and PS3 for $20. There's really no excuse to not stare at Sheva's ass or Chris Redfield's bulging biceps anymore.

We already knew that Halo 3: ODST has sold like gangbusters, and now we have further proof that the four player co-op title ruled the month of September by a long shot thanks to the latest NPD numbers. While the game has sold over 2 million copies world-wide, in North America alone ODST sold 1.5 million copies
The other interesting tid bit of information was that The Beatles: Rock Band outsold Guitar Hero 5, with only the 360 version of GH5 barely cracking the top 10. All told seven of the top ten in terms of software sales for September were games that supported co-op. They say you want a revolution...

"Guitar Hero 5 has Johnny Cash in it!" "No." "It lets more than one person play the same instrument!" "No." "I get Guitar Hero Van Halen for free with it!" "Nope." "It lets you play as your Avatar..." "Really?"
And thus, Guitar Hero 5 was brought into our home.
