We spent a good chunk of time checking out everything at the Square Enix booth, as they had a pretty strong lineup this year. With Tomb Raider and Hitman: Absolution stealing most of the attention. There were some other cool titles that caught our eye like Quantum Conundrum and a co-op gem for the Nintendo 3DS called Heroes of Ruin.
2012 sure seems like the year of the action RPG, because hot on the heels of Diablo 3 (and before Torchlight 2) is a new entry on the 3DS called Heroes of Ruin. From what I played it'll be a solid entry in the genre, though it was a little on the generic side.
Heroes of Ruin is an upcoming hack-and-slash, action RPG for the Nintendo 3DS. It features a fantasy setting, four player drop in/drop out co-op, voice chat, and a half-lion, half-man character class. Neat! The latest trailer covers all of the co-op features nicely. A new trailer has been released for Heroes of Ruin, the action/RPG coming to the Nintendo 3DS this summer. The game features four player online co-op with drop-in and drop-out support through the entire campaign. Players can choose from one of four characters based in a universe that combines modern weaponary and fantasy weaponary.
The Nintendo 3DS has been around for a while now, which means it has little excuse for having so few co-op games. Square Enix are planning to rectify this misdemeanour when it releases Heroes of Ruin on the 31st March. The game is an action RPG with 4 player drop in/drop out co-op. Previously Co-Optimus has given you a taste of how Ruin's co-op works, now have a glimpse at the story in this new trailer.
Heroes of Ruin for the Nintendo 3DS looks to give Action/RPG fans a run for their money. The portable title features full drop-in and drop-out play through the entire game as players can create characters from one of four different classes - the Gunslinger, the Savage, the Alchitect and the Vindicator. Each class will have their strengths and weaknesses so cooperative play will yield the strongest team in the game's four player co-op story.
Square-Enix have announced a brand new game for the Nintendo 3DS called Heroes of Ruin. From the official press material the game looks to be an action/RPG that is inspired by many of the Japanese style RPG experiences like Monster Hunter and Pokemon. The goal though in Heroes of Ruin is focused on item collection, rather than the collection of monsters.
