Too good to pass by!

Evolve, Dying Light, FIFA 15, And More for PSN on Sale

Massive deals abound for the Playstation Network this week during the time-honored tradition of the Extended Play sale. Maybe a Sony Intern tripped and fell on the "HUGE SAVINGS" button. Perhaps the Playstation folks recognize that all video games in the history of the medium were delayed until 2016 and they want to ensure 2015 isn't an enormous bust. Maybe a Sony Exec contracted a brain parasite that makes people save money until May 25th.

Where we're going, we don't need roads

Great Scott! It's the New LEGO Dimensions Trailer

LEGO is already a license to print money, what with massively successful toys, videogames, themeparks and films.  However, that is not enough for the House of Plastic and LEGO Dimensions has been created to grab a slice of that beautiful Skylander/Disney Infinity Pie.  How can they compete?  With IPs like Back to the Future.

Just when you thought you got that Spin Doctors song out of your head.

First Batch of New Songs Announced for Rock Band 4

Just the other day, everybody in the world was like "music games with plastic accessories are dead". That's about the time Harmonix announced Rock Band 4, along with support for 2,000 or tracks released for previous Rock Band games. Some new songs are also in the works, and the first half dozen have just been announced!

The Definitive Version of our 2014 Game of the Year

Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin Impressions

We're big fans of the Souls games here at Co-Optimus, as evidenced by our glowing reviews of the series so far, so when a copy of Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin came across my desk, I was more than happy to jump in. With a modified version of the campaign, all DLC included, and a graphical upgrade (for the PC and current-gen consoles, anyway), it's much more than a simple HD remaster; it might just be the best way to experience the game.

More like GOODLAND, right? Right?!

BADLAND: Game of the Year Edition Heading to PC, Consoles in Late May

Here's a juicy confession: I really enjoyed BADLAND when it was first released on mobile devices, like, a hundred years ago or whatever. Great game, great artwork, just great all around. Not too long ago, BADLAND: Game of the Year Edition was announced for PC and consoles, hauling with it some neat upgrades, including a full-on co-op mode. Excitement mode... engage!

You have to be quite the jerk to make a mask cry.

"The Bozak Horde" Co-op DLC Coming To Dying Light

Sporting events are typically a chance for a family or group of friends to relax, enjoy a beer, and cheer for their respective hometown teams.  In the case of Dying Light, it's also a chance to catch four survivors in the midst of battling their way out of a madman's "challenge mode".  I put that in quotations because calling the situation housing the game's new DLC a "challenge mode" is not dissimilar to calling Vietnam a "puzzle platformer".
