Metal Gear Survive Open Beta (Mostly) Available on PS4 and Xbox One

The open beta for Metal Gear Survive has arrived... for most regions. If you live in Japan, Europe, or Asia, then you should be able to hop onto your platform of choice (PlayStation 4 or Xbox One) and download the beta now. If you live in the Americas and want to play on the Xbox One, then you're also good to go. However, if you want to play the beta on the PS4 and live in the Americas, then you'll have to wait a bit.

Prepare to Die in 4K This May in Dark Souls: Remastered

This seemed like an inevitability. Today, Bandai Namco announced that the popular third-person action RPG, Dark Souls, would be enjoying a new release this year as Dark Souls: Remastered. Not only will players be able to discover the mysteries of Lordran once more in high-definition and 4K resolution (for compatible systems), but you'll also be able to enjoy jolly cooperation with even more friends.

Mutant Football League Arrives on PS4 and Xbox One This Month

Last Fall, Mutant Football League made its way onto the PC so that once again players everywhere could main, mutilate, and massacre their opponents while also kind of playing American football. The original Mutant League Football, though, was a Sega Genesis title so while it was heartening to see the spiritual successor get made and released, many were hoping it would find its way onto the current gen consoles. Well, if you can wait just one more week, your wish will be granted.

Portable prison shivs!

The Escapists 2 Is On Its Way To The Nintendo Switch

Breaking out of prison can't be that hard, right?  All you've got to do is grease a few officers' palms, hatch a plan with your closest incarcerated buddies, and create tools out of nothing.  I suppose you also have to work out patrol patterns, subtly lay out the groundwork for your escape route, ensure your clandestine meetings aren't discovered by guards... okay, so maybe it's a little hard.

Destiny 2 Seasonal Event, The Dawning, Kicks Off Today

During TwitchCon this past October, Bungie stated that they'd start up special events again once the second season for Destiny 2 kicked off in December. Today, players can enjoy some winter-y themed activities as "The Dawning" arrives in the Tower and Farm, and offers up some special gear that will be available for a limited time.
