Minecraft has managed to give players limitless potential since its release back in 2009, but some how the game continues to add the content the game always needs, even now, eleven years later. In the most recent update, the game has decided to dive into the depths of the hellish Nether to introduce new biomes, blocks, mobs, and resources. It even introduces a new upgrade to diamond resources, meaning even the most achieved players will need to dive back into the game to upgrade their gear. The update is accompanied with the adorable trailer below, which accurately shows about how many times I’ve personally died in the Nether since the content went live. The changes are available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
In case you’re the kind of player who wants to “get to know the dark side of Minecraft”, the original blog post for the Nether update can be found here. However, as Minecraft is all procedurally-generated and always has lots of goodies hiding from us bold adventurers, it’s probably best to simply watch the trailer below and grab your friends as you head to blocky hell to get those sweet, sweet new items.
Is this new Minecraft content enough to make you dig back in, or do you have other games to play this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
