Strictly Limited Opens Preorders for Taito Milestones 1 & 2 Bundle and Collectors Edition

Here's your chance to get both Switch-exclusive Taito collections in physical form.

Taito Milestones 2 is a Switch-exclusive collection of 10 arcade classics from Taito. The collection will feature a quality assortment of games, including three co-op shoot 'em ups: Darius II, Gun Frontier, and Metal Black. The first Taito Milestones didn't have as strong a games lineup, but collectors might still want to own them both. Hence, Strictly Limited Games has opened preorders for a bundle with physical editions of both games. For even more physical goodness, a new collectors edition and an upgrade for owners of the Taito Milestones 1 collectors edition are also up for grabs.

What's in the collections, you ask?

Taito Milestones 2 includes: 

  • Ben Bero Beh, 1984, Platform. Armed with a fire extinguisher make your way through a burning building, one perilous floor after another to save your girlfriend Nao-chan! 
  • The Legend of Kage, 1985, Hack-and-slash. Utilize your shuriken and trusty kodachi sword to rescue Princess Kiri as the swift ninja Kage. Bravely face the forces of the nefarious warlord Yukigusa Yoshiro! 
  • Kiki Kaikai, 1986, Shoot ‘em up. Mischievous yōkai have captured the seven gods of fortune. Courageous shrine maiden Sayo-chan, free them! 
  • The NewZealand Story, 1988, Platform. Traverse the colorful maze-like levels as Tiki while dodging enemies left, right, up and down to hopefully free his Kiwi friends! 
  • Darius II, 1989, Shoot ‘em up. Hundreds of years after the events of Darius humanity once again clashes with the Belsar empire. Zip through the solar system and fight! 
  • Gun Frontier, 1990, Shoot ‘em up. Strap yourself into the seat of your revolver-shaped fighter plane and blast the alien space pirates out of the sky. Liberate the people of the space colony Gloria! 
  • Liquid Kids, 1990, Platform. Control Hipopo, the young hero of the hippo tribe, in a water bomb-flinging adventure to restore peace to Woody-Lake and rescue his girlfriend! 
  • Solitary Fighter, 1991, Fighting. Pick your fighter from a lineup of gritty combatants and challenge round after round of contenders on your way to the top! 
  • Metal Black, 1991, Shoot ‘em up. Conquer the alien race from Nemesis. Collect their Newalone molecules to use against them and overcome their onslaught! 
  • Dinorex, 1992, Fighting. Lead your prehistoric beast to victory in gargantuan arena-destroying combat and claim the throne as Dino Rex!

  • Qix, 1981, Puzzle. Draw lines as the “Marker” and capture areas by encircling them! Watch out for enemies while moving around! 
  • Space Seeker, 1981, Shooting. Check the map screen for steadily approaching enemies, intercept the air force strategically, and strike the mobile fortress! 
  • Alpine Ski, 1982, Sports. Enter the world of snow and take part in three competitions: Downhill ski, slalom and ski jump! 
  • Front Line, 1982, Run-and-Gun. Push forward to the enemy camp as a foot soldier! You can also drive tanks and armored vehicles! 
  • Wild Western, 1982, Shooting. Defeat the gangs attacking from all directions with your trusty rifle! You are the law!! 
  • Chack'n Pop, 1983, Platform. Hang in there, Chack’n! Get back the hearts from the thieving Monsta! 
  • Elevator Action, 1983, Action. Infiltrate a building as a spy on a solo mission, get all the secret documents and make your escape! 
  • The Fairyland Story, 1985, Platformer. As the witch Ptolemy, defeat the monsters deep inside the castle! 
  • Halley‘s Comet, 1986, Shooting. Halley’s comet is headed for the planets of our solar system! Destroy the computer at its centre! 
  • The Ninja Warriors, 1987, Action. Advance into enemy territory as an android ninja to crush the evil Banglar’s ambitions!
