Beyond Co-Op, June 20th to June 26th

Welcome to Beyond Co-Op, a weekly piece that talks about industry stories that may or may not be related to co-op gaming.

The stories for this week:

- Civilization IV Maps Can Be Imported to Civilization V
- Hulu Coming to PS3 Now?
- Sin and Punishment: Star Successor, Singularity This Week

Civilization IV Maps Can Be Imported to Civilization V

Sorry for the short Beyond Co-Op this week. The week after E3 tends to be slow with news as the marketing departments decompress after E3. One of the more interesting leaks this week is that created maps, including from the expansions, from Civilization IV can be imported to Civilization V and supposedly the new game will do it automatically.

No word on how the game will handle the change from square filled maps to hexagon filled ones, but hopefully we will find out soon. This game is going to seriously suck away a lot of time in almost everyone’s life.

Hulu Coming to PS3 Now?

Rumors are flying around Hulu being available on consoles again, this time on the PS3. Rumor also says that Hulu is waiting to unlock the 360 and PS3 version of their service until they’ve announced their, once again rumored, premium service. Who knows when that will be, but if the PS3 info turns out to be true this could be another thing where the 360 was once perceived as Hulu’s lone console home and no longer is. Hopefully we’ll find out soon.

Sin and Punishment: Star Successor, Singularity This Week

I’ve heard good things so far about Sin and Punishment: Star Successor, so that could be quite the little surprise this week. I haven’t heard anything on Singularity as of yet, but maybe it will turn out to be a surprisingly good game like Transformers: War for Cybertron was this past week. We’ll probably find out on Tuesday when the embargo lifts. At least I am guessing there is an embargo in place for this game. Activision has been embargoing almost all of their games lately, so that’s what I’m going on
