When it comes to 2022's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games from Konami and Dotemu, it seems like the two titles are always trying to outdo each other. One game gets a trailer; the other game gets a trailer. TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection gets an update; TMNT: Shredder's Revenge gets an update. While today's Shredder's Revenge update isn't as earth-shattering as the one The Cowabunga Collection just got, it does add a cool Custom Game feature that will make Arcade mode a lot more fun, plus some video filters for people who want the game to look less pristine.

The Nintendo Switch Online Plus Expansion Pack is a yearly subscription that gives players access to numerous features. Among those features is a library of Sega Genesis games, playable on Switch with online multiplayer and other enhancements. 4 new games have just been added to the Switch's Genesis library: Golden Axe II, Alien Storm, Columns, and Virtua Fighter 2. When we interviewed WayForward about River City Girls 2 just ahead of launch, the developer let slip that their new beat 'em up RPG would feature cross-play. Now the game has launched (in all regions) at last, and it does indeed feature cross-play co-op! While Fatshark recently released the amazing Warhammer 40,000: Darktide on PC, that game's predecessor, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 still has plenty of life left. Case in point: the free "Trail of Treachery" level that arrived on PC in November has now emerged on Xbox as well. The new level takes place in the snow and is quite cool indeed, but the game's 99.79 GB file size is becoming quite a challenge for the limited storage capacity of the Xbox Series consoles.

It's always nice when a game dares to be different. That certainly applies to Moo Lander, a game about a UFO that crash lands on a planet inhabited by malevolent alien cows. Those cows are dangerous, and now they've spread from consoles and Steam to GOG, the popular PC storefront. Now kids who are too cool for Steam can get in on that UFO-versus-cow action without worrying about the dangers of DRM. Oh, and they'll be able to enjoy Moo Lander's 4-player co-op minigames, too.

It's no secret that we're highly anticipating River City Girls 2, the sequel to WayForward's seminal beat 'em up RPG. The Japanese version arrived at the beginning of the month courtesy of publisher Arc System Works, but the release date of the North American and European versions has been up in the air. Thankfully, things have wrapped up nicely and WayForward has now announced December 15 as River City Girls 2's worldwide release date.

River City Girls 2 is out now in Japan, but we're still waiting for the official worldwide release date. Something we always look forward to from WayForward games is their memorable introductions. We can already tell you that the animated River City Girls 2 intro does not disappoint.
