The latest sequel to the Sonic Wings/Aero Fighter series of shoot 'em ups will support local co-op.

Sonic Wings Reunion Is Coming to PlayStation, Switch, and PC

In the innocent 1990s, a Japanese developer called Video System released four shoot 'em ups in the Sonic Wings series. The first three Sonic Wings games were retitled as Aero Fighters in North America for some reason. After the release of Sonic Wings Special in 1996, no new sequels have been produced... Until now! Sonic Wings Reunion is a brand new entry for everything but poor Xbox, and it's due out on October 7.

We can now add one more to the list: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City from Cortopia Studios and Beyond Frames Entertainment. It will be the first TMNT virtual reality game, and it's due out next year.

Version 1.2 brings a plethora of improvements, but co-op is still in the works.

New Warside Update Rebalances Difficulty, Improves AI, and More

When Warside debuted on Steam back in April, I blazed through the campaign and had a great time doing it. Little did I know, however, that the turn-based strategy game was too easy. Well, the developers at Lavabird have fixed that and then some with the new version 1.2 update. It rebalances the campaign, improves the enemy AI, adds turn timers to multiplayer, and lots more. This update is one of several that will happen on the way to co-op support being added in the future.

If there must be a Rebel Moon game, at least it's coming from a good developer.

The Creators of TMNT: Splintered Fate Are Working on 'Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game'

Rebel Moon is a series of Netflix-exclusive movies directed by Zack Snyder. Despite those things working against it, Super Evil Megacorp is developing Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game in partnership with Netflix Games. A lot is still unknown about the game, but it seems that it will deliver a TMNT: Splintered Fate-like cooperative experience in a gritty science fiction setting.

The most famous example is Pokemon Go, but there are other geolocation games out there too. Mythwalker is one such title from NantGames. It allows up to three players to team up to battle monsters and complete quests together, even if they're not located in the same area.
