Oh, the burning!

Our Weekend In Gaming: Everything's On Fire!

The Co-Opticrew seems to have gotten a tiny case of pyromania this weekend.  Nearly everything we're playing revolves around fire, from emblems to ashes to rings (of the "rule them all" variety).  I highly doubt we'll be doing much with actual, physical fire, but you never know.  If you hear any fire alarms going off in the next few days... maybe check back here and make sure we're okay.

SteelSeries Has Solved The Switch Headphone Problem

If you’re like me, there are times when you take your Nintendo Switch with you and get ready to play, only to remember you packed your headphones in another place. This leads to digging into said place, finding the (likely tangled) headphones you want, and then untangling the cords before diving into your favorite game. However, SteelSeries is claiming to have solved this problem with the Arctis 1, the first fully wireless gaming headset for the Nintendo Switch that is now available on their website for $99.99.

4 Times The Map To Smash Zombies In

New Dying Light 2 Info On Map Size

In a new interview about the sequel to the zombie-smashing hit Dying Light, Dying Light 2, Techland's Chief Technology Officer Pawel Rohleder nonchalantly informed the world that the upcoming game will feature a map four times the size of the original’s. Fans of the first game will recall that its map was separated into two districts, so this news is nothing but exciting as we look forward to (re)killing the undead when Dying Light 2 is released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC sometime in 2020.

Toot toot!

Unrailed! Is Out Now In Early Access

Dust off those train conductor hats, folks, cause Unrailed! has slammed into Steam's Early Access program like a caboose with the brakes cut.  That's probably too extreme a metaphor for someone uploading an executable to a website, but allow me to explain.  I very rarely get to talk about train-themed video games without my eyes glazing over a little, so I plan on taking full advantage of this opportunity.

Co-Optimus Exclusive - The Making of Trine 4's Art and Story

Frozenbyte's cooperative, puzzle-platformer series, Trine, has gone through its fair share of changes and innovations over the past 10 years; some good, some not so good. The forthcoming Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is poised to be the best one yet as it returns to its 2.5D roots, increases the co-op player count from three to four, implements some valuable lessons learned from previous games, and somehow manages to have even more gorgeous visuals than before. Producer Modus Games and Frozenbyte have been detailing what's been going into the latest entry in a series of "Making Of" videos and today, they've shared the newest one with us.
