Scott Pilgrim EX Gets a Free Update and 'Back to the Band' Character DLC

Scott Pilgrim EX, the long-awaited sequel to Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World: The Game, is probably the best new beat 'em up this year. It features gorgeous pixel art, catchy chiptunes, a diverse but manageable open world, and 4-player local and online co-op with cross-play. That's a lot to like! Well, now there's even more to like. Today, the game got a free update alongside the arrival of a DLC character pack.

Scott Pilgrim EX Co-op Review

Scott Pilgrim VS. The World: The Game was a fairly successful video game adaptation of the Scott Pilgrim franchise, so it’s not too surprising that it would receive a sequel. Okay, it would be surprising if Ubisoft released a sequel since they haven’t had their act together in years. Instead, Tribute Games, which consists of some of the...

Japanese Shoot 'em Up 'Revolgear Zero' Arrives on Switch and Steam

Bikkuri Software is a Japanese indie developer that specializes in shoot 'em ups. Those shmups have historically been single-player affairs, but the developer's latest game (published by Henteko Doujin) is called Revolgear Zero, and it supports 2-player local co-op. It even offers the ability to simulate co-op when playing solo in some modes! Fans of 16-bit and 32-bit shoot 'em ups will want to give this one a look.

Wow, Scott Pilgrim EX Is Coming in 2026 From Tribute Games

Tribute Games might be working on this year's most anticipated beat 'em up (MARVEL Cosmic Invasion), but apparently that's not enough. The Montreal-based developer craves an even bigger piece of the pie, so they've just announced another brawler for next year: Scott Pilgrim EX. That's cool enough news on its own, but much of the talent behind the original Scott Pilgrim VS. The World: The Game will be involved. We can't complain about that!

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game - Complete Edition Out This Holiday Season

Given the isolated state the world has found itself in, there's been a lot of time to ponder things in 2020.  Should you go back to college and get that degree you've always wanted?  How many loaves of bread can one household eat in two weeks?  And, most importantly, could you beat up all of your partner's exes?
