MGS3 Themed Co-Op Event Kicks Off Today in Metal Gear Survive

Of all the Metal Gear Solid titles, the third is hands-down my favorite and I don't think I'm the only one with that opinion based on Konami's recent announcement. Starting today and going until April 24, 2018, you can team up with a few friends and enjoy a special co-op event in Metal Gear Survive that will net you some special Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (snake eater) themed rewards.

Instead of defending a point from a bunch of zombies, go rescue some people

New Co-Op Mission Will Drop This Month for Metal Gear Survive

Metal Gear Survive arrived last week to... mild fanfare? It seems like many of the survival elements are too punitive and players end up spending more time managing different base elements/meters than engaging in some stealth action that the name "Metal Gear" implies. Also, there's apparently just one mission type for the co-op mode (i.e., defend a point against waves of enemies). I guess Konami is doing something about that by adding a new co-op mission type this month.

Have Your Credit Card Handy and Stable Internet for Metal Gear Survive

Happy Monday, everyone! Have a good weekend? Did you check out the Metal Gear Survive beta? If so, then you may have already noticed some of the things discussed here; if not, and you're really looking forward to it, I'm afraid I have some news to share you may not like. When the game launches next month, it will require a constant Internet connection, even in single-player, and there will be microtransactions.

Metal Gear Survive Gets Release Date, Pre-Order Goodies

An official website for Konami's Metal Gear Survive went up last week and there's quite a bit of info to parse through there. While the official release date (Feb. 20, 2018) and a better explanation of what the co-op will entail (more on that in a sec) are nice things to know, there was another bit of info that might be a bit of a bummer to folks out there: you'll always need to be online to play, even in single-player.
