Drop Point is an upcoming open world survival game from a New Zealand developer called Tiny Indie Studio. It will offer both first-person and third-person gameplay, allowing large groups of players to explore a zombie-infested island, scavenge for resources, build bases, and fend off hordes of enemies. That might sound a lot like DayZ and other games, but Drop Point has plenty of good ideas that will help it stand out when it arrives on Steam Early Access later this year.

Survival games are all the rage these days, with the trend starting many years ago with Minecraft, we've seen the genre absolutely explode across all gaming platforms. We've had dinosaurs, zombies, and even cannibals as a setting for these games. Now with a new game from developer Iron Gate we have Vikings. It's Valheim an up to 10 player co-op game now in early access on PC.

No matter what criticism can be leveraged at ARK: Survival Evolved, you certainly can't say the game isn't unique.

Fresh off its official release, ARK: Survival Evolved is already aiming to one-up itself with the "Aberration" expansion.  I didn't think things could get much wackier in the dino-ridden survival/crafting/exploration game, but it turns out I was hilariously wrong.

Were you excited to finally check out the final version of ARK: Survival Evolved next week? Yeah, well, got some bad news for you. You'll have to wait until the end of August now... you know, when all the video games are coming out.

Ark: Survival Evolved will be seeing a full launch, complete with physical releases on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, come August 8th, 2017. The game has been featured in Steam’s Early Access program since June 2nd, 2015 and the Xbox Game Preview program since December of 2015. Finally, Ark made its way to PlayStation 4 in December 2016.

It's been promised for some time and now the PlayStation 4 version of ARK: Survival Evolved will finally be available to play on December 6. This is not the final version of the game, as the title is still in Early Access on Steam and Game Preview on Xbox One, but if you've been waiting for it to make it to this platform, then you only have to wait a few more days.

Osiris: New Dawn has been floating around the games scene for a little while now, but it's now available to play via Steam Early Access.

If I were dropped into, say, one of the plethora of modern Survival games currently available, I can't imagine I'd last too long.  I mean, I can barely make it through the workday in one piece, and I've already got clothes and a place to live!  Plopping me in the middle of the woods with nothing but a loincloth and my wits would most likely lead to me expiring with only one of those two things.
