Zeno Clash 2 Co-Op Review

After playing through the original Zeno Clash, I didn’t know what to expect from ACE Team this time around. What do you do after making a first person brawler set in a fantastical world where you sort out differences through a bout of fisticuffs? The answer is simple, continue the adventure and add a co-op partner so you have double the flying fists. Zeno Clash 2 does not diverge from the obscure, relying on those brave gamers who want to try something out of the ordinary.

Moths. Colored moths. I need them.

Zeno Clash II Gameplay Footage Released

After all the teases and quick looks, Atlus has finally released a video that shows a significant amount of gameplay from Zeno Clash II. The first person melee game is set in a surreal world where combat is as combo-heavy as it is hands-on. No fair using guns to pick foes off from a distance. Here, you actually have to step in and get some blood splattered in your face. It's a bit like Mirror's Edge with a lot more punching. Wait, let's go back and write that again with emphasis: a lot more punching.

Zeno Clash II Trailer Shows Plenty of Punching

The first person melee brawler Zeno Clash, which is second only to Mirrors Edge in its ability to cause motion sickness, has a sequel on the way. Zeno Clash II looks just as bizarre and intriguing as the original, and as the trailer below illustrates, in the world of Zenozoik it's perfectly acceptable to replace your lower lip with a painter's palette.

Zeno Clash II Already Looking Like the Year's Oddest Game

It's a bit early to call the year's best of, worst of, etc. But anyone who has played the original Zeno Clash might expect its sequel to end up just as bizarre looking, if not even weirder. Well, thanks to a new batch of screenshots from Atlus, we know Zeno Clash II is indeed one different looking game. Sure, something more bizarre could come along, but t would take some strange minds to do it. Even then, would such a hypothetical game feature drop-in, drop-out co-op like this one? Highly unlikely!
