Zombie Apocalypse Preview and Screenshots

Destructoid posted a quick hands-on preview of the upcoming downloadable co-op game Zombie Apocalypse from publisher Konami, and they really seemed to like it!

 

It’s basically Left 4 Dead meets Smash TV, which is a combination made of extreme win.

 

That's quite an statement! Thankfully, the rest of the preview is just as positive...

 

For every zombie you kill, you’ll earn points. The points determines who the winner is of the four people playing, and gives the game a coin-op arcade feel. I was constantly thinking of Smash TV while playing Zombie Apocalypse, to the point that I now want to hunt down an arcade that has Smash TV. Good news: Zombie Apocalypse is four-players both local and online.

Are they "fast" zombies or "slow" zombies? I didn't see it mentioned in the link. What made Smash TV such a hit for me was the enemies moves at a great pace, fairly slow but with enough presence to intimidate. Hopefully these are the slower zombies.

I would kind of hope for a mix of zombies, I think if they are all just the traditional slow "braaains" zombies the levels could get old fast.

At any rate, can't wait for this to come out.

This sounds so great. I think it will redeem the failure for PSN that was Burn Zombie Burn.
