Here in the UK the sun has finally come out and a summer to remember is just around the corner. June promises to be a good one this year; a four day weekend for the Queen's Jubilee, a European Cup to look forward to, the Olympic Games on home turf and Babel Rising finally comes out on PSN and XBLA.
Warner Bros Studios has revealed some exclusive pictures for LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, showing off some of the comic book titans we all know and love from an artistic Arkham City perspective.
Earlier this week we brought you some crazy videos featuring the three Rin assassin sisters from Anarchy Reigns. Today, we have two dozen more screens from the multiplayer fighting game. Most of the game's impressive roster is well represented. Jack Cayman and Co. are dishing out pain by the bucketload. I don't know what's happening in the header image, but Durga's mechanical foot looks like it means business.
Kalypso have just sent over a handful of new screens for Legends of Pegasus, the 4X strategy game set to come out on the PC this summer. Graphically the game is looking really good, but its the ship customization features and co-op play that has us the most excited.
According to CVG, it looks like the move of the co-op zombies mode from it's own engine to Call of Duty's multiplayer engine could spell big things for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 - namely 8 player co-op. The reason for the expansion? Apparently the add-ons were some of the best selling for the original Black Ops and World at War, giving the team "free reign" to do what they want.
Co-Optimus has been covering Arcen Games' PC and Mac title A Valley Without Wind in pre-release form for over a year. At long last, A Valley Without Wind is available on Steam, the platform of choice for many computer gamers. What's more, through May 1 you can get it for $13.49 - ten percent off the regular price of $14.99. It's also available on GamersGate and Impulse.
Details are still scarce about Ska Studios' upcoming Xbox Live Arcade exclusive, Charlie Murder. We know it's a four player beat-em-up with RPG elements, which creator James Silva has coined as a brawl-PG. I'm fond of RPG-eat-em-up, myself. Anyway, the game revolves around the members of a band called Charlie Murder setting out to stop the evil band Gore Quaffer and its monstrous minions from doing bad things. That's still a bit vague, but three new screenshots (plus a brief video from PAX East) give us a better idea of what to expect.
Details of Mercenary Ops have been revealed via the launch of the official website. The game is in development by Epic Games China, otherwise known as Yin Pei Games and is being published by Kalends Publishing. While our co-op details before touted 16 players, the official website is now saying the cooperative mode will support 8 players. In it players will " combat the devastation unleashed by multinational, government toppling organizations."
When looking down the list of Xbox 360 exclusives for 2012 two things become apparent; it’s a short list, but it contains Halo 4, so who cares? Halo 4 has a planned release of November 6th and although Firefight is no more, the new Spartan Ops mode has been included in its stead. Keen to keep the hype machine fully rolling, Microsoft has released some concept art for the game and some screenshots. Check out Read More for the new gallery.
As you all know, Sonic 4 Episode II will be featuring the classic duo of Sonic and Tails, exploring a new age of the Sonic combos these two will bring forth. Collaborative gameplay is the name of the game between Sonic and Tails this time around, using 1 of 3 combos to help players take on the difficult areas of any stage.
Orion: Dino Beatdown, a promising co-op 1st-person shooter, comes to Steam and OnLive this Friday. If you're like me and have long felt the urge to deliver beatings of a downward variety to hordes of terrible lizards, this will seem like a long week. Thankfully developer Spiral Studios has released a new video documentary and handful of screenshots for their anti-dino shooter that may PC tide gamers over until release day.
This one has me a bit confused. The title of the game is called Majestic-12 and it's a retro style co-op action game. Sweet I thought, that could be pretty chaotic with twelve players. As I continue to read the description I read it says only four player co-op, ok, still cool in my mind. But I read on and learn that you are one of only two surviving members of a group called the Majestic 12. Let's dig deeper into this XBLA and PC game, shall we?
Formerly a Wii-exclusive title, Resident Evil Chronicles HD brings back both Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles onto one game, giving you the action packed, rail-shooter awesomeness of two for the price of one.
New screenshots and several previews have hit the web for Aliens: Colonial Marines. The screens all look incredibly good, with the details on both characters and envioronments standing out. Obviously with this being an Aliens game, atmosphere is key, and it looks like Gearbox nailed it.
Crimson Dragon, the sequel to Panzer Dragoon in everything but name, now has an official Japanese site. And with that site comes a few new screenshots as well as higher-quality versions of the ones originally provided by Famitsu. Additionally, the game's dazzling trailer (previously glimpsed via camcorder video on YouTube) is available for download to Xbox 360s with a Japanese Xbox Live account. Siliconera has kindly uploaded the trailer for all the world to see.
