Grandmaster Flash Spinning Records in DJ HeroJuly 02nd, 2009 at 3:17 PM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

Grandmaster Flash is one of the most influential and well known DJs ever.  Today, Activision has announced that the GMF himself is lending his voice and likeness to DJ Hero.  Many consider Flash as the father of modern DJing.

Grandmaster Flash will walk players through the game's tutorial, as well as contribute two of his tracks "Boom" and "Tap" to the game.  The DJ has also created two exclusive remixes for the game, Grandmaster Flash’s Herbie Hancock "Rockit" vs. N.E.R.D. "Lapdance" and Grandmaster Flash "Here Comes My DJ" vs. Gary Numan "Cars" mixes.

You and your co-op partner are going to have to fight over who gets to be Mr. Flash when the game releases this fall.

Mad Dog McCree Gun Slingers Pack Shoots It's Way on the Wii-WagonJune 17th, 2009 at 8:53 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you 1992.  It was a land filled with these new fangled things called "CD-ROM" drives.  And with them came the advent of Live Action Video Video Games.  One series of games found it's way not only onto consoles, but to the arcades.  The western themed game was called Mad Dog McCree - and you had to do everything in your power to stop him.

Some 17 years later, the series is back, and it's been freshened up with co-op play for four players on the Wii!  All three games are included in the $20 bundle; Mad Dog McCree, Mad Dog 2: The Lost Gold and The Last Bounty Hunter.

Breathe Easy -- Lost Planet 2 is a Timed ExclusiveJune 16th, 2009 at 11:24 AM by Jim "txshurricane" McLaughlin

Unless someone at Capcom has gone completely batty, Playstation 3 owners can expect the four-player co-op shooter Lost Planet 2 to arrive sometime after the Xbox 360 release. This has been confirmed via Sony's E3 keynote, and now by Capcom's official site.

While details are scarce at the moment, we're still excited that Capcom is making sure to extend co-op goodness to both platforms. Although we've established the Xbox 360 as 2008's most co-op friendly platform, the co-op love is being spread around the table, and that's always a good thing.

New Left 4 Dead 2 Screens, Old Teaser Trailer, and Some Guy in a Yellow RainjacketJune 12th, 2009 at 8:46 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

Valve has just released a fresh batch of screenshots from their contoversial Left 4 Dead 2.  In it we get to see some of the new weapons, characters and zombies that adorn the four player co-op sequel.

I'm not sure who the man in the yellow jacket is, but I don't think he's selling girl scout cookies.

We also have the teaser trailer in hi-def format that was on display at E3 2009.  Enjoy!

Call of Duty Shi No Numa Available Now, Smells FunkyJune 11th, 2009 at 10:19 PM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

Shi No Numa stinks.  No... literally it stinks.  Why?  Because Shi No Numa means "Zombie Swamp" - as if zombies don't smell bad enough on their own.  Now Treyarch has thrown their festering, flesh eating undead into the stinky murky depths of a swamp and charged four cooperative players with killing them.

The latest Call of Duty map pack launches today features the newest zombie mode map, and with that comes brand new Achievements and Trophies.  Ten of them to be exact.

New Guitar Hero 5 Screenshots Require 8 Hands, 4 FeetJune 11th, 2009 at 10:57 AM by Nicholas "bapenguin" Puleo

Activision has released a fresh batch of screenshots for Guitar Hero 5, one of the many music games they have coming out this fall.

Guitar Hero 5 will feature some pretty in depth co-op options, including the ability to drop in and drop out of a song, and allowing band members to play any instrument they want.  The evidence is above as the stage is adorned with four drummers belting out some serious beats.  I'm not quite sure how I can fit four giant plastic drum sets in my living room.
