Crackdown 2 to Feature 4 Player Co-Op

Yesterday Microsoft surprised us when they announced Crackdown 2 for the Xbox 360 at their E3 2009 conference.  At the time there were very few details of the game available, and we were unsure if the co-op mode would expand beyond the first's two player drop-in/drop-out.

The Official Crackdown 2 page has popped up on Xbox.com and it appears that the game will indeed have four player co-op.  On top of that the page says Crackdown 2 will have 16 player multiplayer modes, which we assume would be team based death match and objective style games.

Good, the bigger the game the more co-op buddies you need to cover the area.

Could be nice, but four player co-op means jack if its not executed well. The first game didn't do it well at all from a perspective of doing missions, so fingers crossed that this one is improved.

I will get this game for sure since the first was so fun. The problem is, the co-op was pretty lame. There was no rhyme or reason to it. I really hope they make "use" of the co-op in this version.

co-op is the reason a lot of people loved it! Well not in the traditional Mission based sense. I agree it kinda sucked, but man was it fun to mess around!

For once Im more excited for the 16 player multiplayer modes then co-op. Pacific city...will be...destroyed!

I just hope they have a "do what you want,no rules!" type of mode like in GTA 4.

AWESOME! But like everyone else, it has to be executed right. I loved killing in cars, but I wish you could shoot out of the passenger side or something. I jumped on top to solve this problem, but it would be nice...a full car...everyone in it...shooting out the windows...hope it happens.

Co-op in the first one is how I got my orbs...I did it with a friend, and it was ENDLESS good times.

Keeping this on the watch list as maybe a Christmas present depending on what they do with it, the video looked sweet and I love the Crackdown style so I am hoping they really improve on the co-op and make it really worth while.

I never talk when I play online on COD. No one really says anything worth listening to, or no one talks whatsoever.
