Update: The Grinder Not Forsaken For Wii, 2 Versions Confirmed

About a year ago, we heard about a new first person shooter in the vein of Hunter: The Reckoning on the Wii. It had something to do with Werewolves and co-op, but that news fell on the wayside when we got an update that told us that The Grinder was going to the Xbox 360 and PS3. Now, we can tell you for sure, you're getting two versions of Grinder available.

One version of The Grinder, the original one, is custom fitted for the Wii. This one is a fast paced first person shooter with loads of monsters and online co-op. The second version is the 3rd person action game on the PS3 and Xbox 360. This version was directly inspired by studio High Voltage Software's experience on Hunter: The Reckoning, and will be custom made for these two consoles. Both versions will have co-op, it just depends on what style of co-op you prefer.

I don't know about you guys, but when I hear a studio is custom designing a game to fit multiple platforms rather than making a butchered port for any system - it gives me hope for the future of gaming. The games haven't been picked up by a publisher yet, but High Voltage is hoping they get picked up at the same time and by the same publisher. We'll keep you updated on any news as it becomes available to us.
