Recently, we revealed what were rumored to the specs for Left 4 Dead. However, the real specs have been recently revealed. HalfLife2.net has posted the specs, taking them from the box itself. Unfortunately, the real specs require a better computer than the rumored ones. The game will require a more powerful CPU to fun it; either a "3.0 Ghz P4, Dual Core 2.0, or AMD64X2 (or higher)." Full specs after the jump.
OS: Windows Vista, XP or 2000
CPU: 3.0 GHz P4, Dual Core 2.0 or AMD64X2 (or higher)
RAM: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista
DISC DRIVE: DVD-ROM Drive
HARD DRIVE: At least 7.5 GB of free space
VIDEO: Direct X 9 compatible video card (Video card must be 256 MB or more and should be a DirectX 9-compatible with support for pixel shader 2.0)
SOUND: Direct X9.0c compatible sound card
This might be a bit of a bummer for PC gamers, since the specs are much higher than predicted. This will likely push many gamers to the 360 version, though it is a shame that fewer PC gamers will be able to enjoy the game. Any PC gamers out there going to be forced to go 360 or bust?
Ok I'll stop.
You will be missed good sir, but your hot, younger sister will be totally sweet.
I've got an Athlon64 3000+ and a Geforce 7600. I hope it's adequate... I don't have XBox Live.
