Artizens: Fight large monsters and draw your own gear

Co-op games are awesome. A lot of my best experiences in gaming happened while playing co-op games with friends. I'm glad this community is around.

I created this post to tell you about Artizens, a 2D platformer co-op game that I'm currently developing.

In Artizens, you team up with friends to fight large monsters. The monsters are akin to the ones in Monster Hunter -- they are large, have varied movesets, can have parts of them broken off, and run between areanas as you chase them. Every mission in the game is 4 player and has you chasing different monsters through different locations.

In addition, you may be interested in our extensive character customization, which lets you get as detailed as drawing your own gear. You can craft your gear from the parts you harvest on missions. There is a modding system for adding status effects and buffs to your weapons. And you can trade what you've made with the community.

Myself and my 2 co-founders started working on Artizens a year ago after quitting our jobs. It's a labor of love, we've been living off of our savings, and put all our initial investment into getting a team and product together. We started a Kickstarter project to provide the rest of our funding through alpha playtesting. So far, we've raised $26k out of the $30k that we need, so things are looking bright.

If you are interested, head over to our Kickstarter page. I'm happy to answer any questions you have in the comments. Game on!
