What do you remember most about the fairytale stories from your childhood? If you were exposed to Mother Gooses version of many of these tales, your memories are probably full of talking animals, bright colors, bizarre characters, and happy endings. Not too far off is Fairytale Fights, with it's bright colors, bizarre characters and, well, the similarities end there. Prepare to face a beautiful world with environmental hazards and relentless enemies in Fairytale Fights, with a taste of twisted humor we can't ever seem to get enough of.

Just a friendly reminder that the two player co-op Gunstar Heroes hits the Xbox Live Arcade today for 400 .  The game will launch on the PlayStation Network tomorrow.  Gunstar Heroes features enhanced graphics as well as online and local co-op play.

Thursday, June 11th will see the release of two high-profile DLC packs: the previously mentioned, and the Burnout Paradise Big Surf Island pack. With the new island comes plenty of areas to explore, bigger jumps, more races and events, ten new challenges, and nine new vehicles.

Remember all those cool features Microsoft announced for Xbox Live at their E3 2009 press conference?  Twitter, Facebook, Last.FM, and more all highlighted a rather social looking update for Microsoft's dashboard and online service.

Gearbox has confirmed that their four player co-op action/RPG, Borderlands, will be shipping this October for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.  The game had a very strong showing at E3 this year, with generally favorable impressions of what was on display.

Remember when Sony bought Ghostbusters game exclusivity in the European region, thereby locking out Xbox 360 owners from getting their hands on the title until later this year?  Yeah, that sucked worse than a Slimer bath.  

Peter Molyneux has asked us an important question today, one that I hope fans of cooperative games will stand up and answer.  Via his Twitter, Molyneux asks:

There are many different types of games on the market for many different types of people. So, what designates which games can be played together, and which can not? We at Co-optimus.com tend to preach friendly co-op gaming, and notice many of the single player games out there feel somewhat cheated out of a quality co-op experience.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is becoming one of the most recognized Star Wars brands, with it's beautiful stylization that allows us to look past the poor CGI of the prequel films. Knowing this, we at Co-optimus are happy to see a Clone Wars style video game, featuring 8 playable Jedi, and 10 playable Clones with 2 player drop-in, drop-out co-op! Star Wars Clone Wars: Republic Heroes will have an original storyline, as well as some slick looking gameplay. To match the stylization of the visuals, the game will feature some new playing "styles" of it's own, making it one of the more unique Star Wars action games around.

Get ready to get your co-op on in Indiana Jones And The Staff Of Kings! 2 player local co-op, a co-op fit for kings - or Indiana Jones fans. Co-op specific quests featuring Indie and dad, Henry Jones Sr. You're bound to have a blast playing this one with a friend, check out the co-op preview trailer if you don't believe me!

With a name like Eduardo the Samurai Toaster, there's not much Semnat Studios needs to do to sell me on the game.  But then they just go off and release a kick ass trailer showing off the game's four player drop-in and drop-out local co-op mode with plenty of toast tossing action.
