Portal 2 Delayed Till 2011

Sad news today out of Aperture Science Laboratories - errr - out of Valve.  If you were hoping to get your blue and orange portals on this fall with a friend in Portal 2, you're going to have to wait a while longer.  Why?  Well, it's because making games is hard.

Change On Rails With Sin And Punishment: Star Successor

If there is any one thing the Wii does especially well, it's classic-style on rails shooters. Point the Wii remote at something on the screen, shoot, and the game takes care of the rest. Well, Sin and Punishment: Star Successor thinks you can do better than that. Originally released and well recieved in Japan last year, Star Successor adds an element of character control to your standard on rails shooter.

This Week in Co-Op: Doom II like it's 1994

An interesting thing happened recently with the release of DOOM II on Xbox Live Arcade - not only did you get the classic game updated to be playable on the umpteenth platform with online play and the original graphics - you got a sense of the original experience of playing the game on a 14.4 modem!

Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock Revealed With Co-Op Quest Mode

Last year, the Guitar Hero brand was a bit too prolific.  That seems to have changed in 2010, with but one Guitar Hero game on the horizon.  All sorts of information has been revealed about the next Guitar Hero, subtitled Warriors of Rock.  Releasing this fall, Warriors of Rock will have a new "story-based" Quest Mode, narrated by none other than Gene Simmons.  Co-op would seem to be a point of emphasis in Quest Mode, as players "join together" on an epic journey to save rock and roll.
