Our Weekend in Gaming: Summer Doldrums Edition

Boards, and the games that come with them.

When summer rages all around us, the "New Games" bucket gets pretty sparse. The Doldrums are in full swing here at Co-Optimus, and with no new games to feast upon we've got to rely on our friends and family for amusement. Maybe play some games of the non-video variety as well. Nick's out of town, and Enoch's toiling away in the Roleplaying Mines at Gen Con. The rest of us plan on pecking away at our backlogs, adventuring in space, and playing all sorts of games that involve boards.

Mike Katsufrakis (@Pheriannath) - I'll probably continue binge watching the Summer Games Done Quick marathon, and maybe sneak in a little King's Quest.

Marc Allie (@DjinniMan) - More Starcraft 2 is definitely in my future, and I might even get some Killer Instinct in here and there as well.

Jason Love (@JLove55) - A bit of Marvel Herors 2015 and then board games! Sentinels of the Multiverse, Betrayal at House on the Hill, and possibly trying out a new one, Pathfinder.

Eric Murphy (@smurph_em) - We're streaming some FORCED tonight at 9PM CDT! I might also play some Halo Master Chief Collection if I have time.

Locke Vincent (@LockeVincent) - Just finished watching The International 5 group stages all week so I have to settle my heart down with some Pillars of Eternity on the lappy while I am away on vacation.

Tally Callahan - I'll be trying to catch up on some boardgame backlog. Aside from that, some Sunday Pathfinder and a little Elder Scrolls Online.

John Bardinelli (@itsamejohn) - More soup making for me in Nom Nom Galaxy. Kill the corn enemies, mix them with seaweed, and victory!

Enoch Starnes (@enochstarnes) - I'm at Gen Con! Lots of board games and DnD. I'm also wondering how Batman got so out of shape.

Taylor Killian - With Magic Duels out, my weekend will be full of screaming as the computer draws the perfect game-winning card every single time.

What will you be up to? Parceling through the meager new releases? Or will you wander as far away from your screens as possible?
