Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is one of the best TMNT games around, and a really fine co-op roguelike to boot. The only thing that has held it back from greater mainstream success is availability. Namely, it hasn't been available on the two most powerful consoles: Xbox and PlayStation. That will finally change this summer, thank goodness, because Super Evil Megacorp has announced that Splintered Fate is coming to PlayStation on May 20 and Xbox on June 24.
TMNT: Splintered Fate is an isometric roguelike in the style of Hades. Players select the Turtle of their choice (or Casey Jones via DLC) and head on a mission to the sewers and beyond in order to rescue Master Splinter from the Foot Clan. Whenever players clear rooms, they get to choose from a random array of upgrades and rewards before moving on. Challenging boss counters, an authentic and fully voiced story, and plenty of permanent upgrades to buy between runs will keep players coming back for more. 4-player local and online co-op with cross-play further enhance the experience.
In addition to the upcoming digital Xbox and PlayStation versions, physical Deluxe Editions for Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch will arrive on August 26. Each will cost $39.99 and will include the game, "Casey Jones and the Junkyard Jam" DLC included on the disc/cartridge, reversible cover art, 10 collector’s cards, and one future, unannounced paid DLC. Preorder the Deluxe Editions at Amazon. There will be a Pipin' Hot Collector's Edition with even more physical bonuses as well.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate costs $29.99 on Steam and Switch, and it's also available on iOS. The PlayStation version will arrive on Tuesday, May 20, and the Xbox version is due on Tuesday, June 24. We can't wait!
