As we previously told you, the Fable 2 Knothole Island DLC is out today, and true to their word you can download it right now. Weighing in at 532MB this is no small update with plenty of new places, creatures, weapons and quests. There are rumors about of a resurrection shrine in the DLC that will ressurect someone...or something. We don't want to spoil it for you.
So while the 360 version of Left 4 Dead was patched last week, our PC brethren were left for dead so to speak. Thankfully there is a savior, and his name is Blackgaze. Blackgaze is a user on the Valve forums, and he received an email response from Left 4 Dead writer Chet Faliszek.
During the CES last week, Harmonix head honcho Alex Rigopolous discussed a bit of the future of the Rock Band series. In a refreshing twist, he revealed that Rock Band 3 won't be a 2009 release.

You know, if I got shot 9 times and survived I might be more apt to find cover too. In 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand both you and your co-op partner will have ample cover to hide behind in the game. To prove this, THQ has released a video of said cover while being serenaded by the gentle sounds of Mr. Jackson all the while.

Sony's Killzone 2 is a juggernaut for the PlayStation 3 this year. Releasing in February, the game has been the cause for much controversy starting with its "target trailer" from E3 2006. Whether or not the final game meets the target's expectations for graphics is still up in the air, but people who have played the multiplayer beta are thoroughly impressed.
Sega has just announced that Phantasy Star 0 for the Nintendo DS is coming to the US and Europe in 2009. The game features online and local wi-fi co-op play for four players and takes place on an alternate Earth in the Phantasy Star Universe.
Fans of Ikaruga, which we reviewed here, will find this news interesting. It appears that Ikaruga is not the only acclaimed shooter from Treasure that Microsoft wants on Xbox Live Arcade. Radiant Silvergun, which many feel is the best shoot em up of all time, is on Microsoft's wish list. (Ours too, for that matter; copies of the game are quite pricey on Ebay.) MS approached Treasure CEO Masato Maegawa about porting the Arcade/Sega Saturn title over to their service.
CES2009 wrapped up this week, and one of the games on display was the upcoming Halo RTS from Microsoft. The sneaky CES ninjas have video taped some in game footage showing off unit management and a few battles. It's not much, but it's probably the most raw in game footage seen to date. Hopefully this holds you over until the demo is released on February 5th.
With the impending DLC coming this week, Fable 2 has gotten it's much needed patch. No, not the patch to fix the horrible co-op implementation, a patch to fix up the numerous glitches and such.
Did you like Puzzle Quest? Of course you did. Did lord Diablo tickle your fancy? I know, silly question. Now what if we combined those two games? It may sound odd, but that's exactly what Puzzle Quest developer Infinite Interactive is doing in Deathbringer for the PC, 360, PS3 and Wii.
