November is gonna be a busy month.

StarCraft II: Legacy Of The Void Launches November 10th

A scant year ago, we relished the first details of StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void's dedicated co-op mode with the official announcement of the game. Then Blizzard went radio silent on the final piece of their wildly popular sci-fi strategy title, leaving us clamoring for new info. This weekend at the Starcraft II World Championship Series, Blizzard dropped the mic on the stage by casually tossing out the release date and watching the ensuing scramble of everyone dashing to their PCs. You and your co-op commander of choice will be waging cosmic war against the enemies of the galaxy November 10th.

A look at two new elite specializations and Masteries

MMO Co-Opportunities Volume LVIII: Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns Beta Preview, Part 2

Last month, MMO Co-Opportunities featured part 1 of a hands-on preview of the upcoming expansion for Guild Wars 2, Heart of Thorns. In it, I gave some impressions of the new profession (the Revenant), one of the new elite specializations for the game (the Dragonhunter for the Guardian), and some thoughts of the general feel of the new zone. This mo...

Our Weekend In Gaming: Tactical Balloon Edition

Hey gang, what's up?  It feels like just yesterday that the staff was rife with an urge for strategy games.  That feeling has passed, though, shifted to a slightly more tactical craving.  Tactical espionage, that is.  Otherwise, we're discovering the magic of the indie gaming scene, yelling at our significant others in space, and playing virtual board games.  As always, be sure to check out Eric Murphy tonight at 8pm CDT as he and the F.A.L.C.O. crew take on the somehow wealthy undead.

Heroes Of The Storm Is Getting Some New Reporting Tools

We've all been there.  You're testing out a new hero in your MOBA of choice, and it's not going so hot.  You "Q" when you meant to "E", you fired your ultimate ability in the exact wrong direction, and the team's taking note.  Normally, your comrades would voice their frustrations to themselves or their friends, but the MOBA community... well, sometimes they take a different approach.  That's why Blizzard took the chance to revamp Heroes of the Storm's reporting toolset, which will allow players more robust options when determining just why their teammates said all those things, or why they are now hurling their hero face-first into the onslaught.

Relive the medieval madness

Castle Crashers Remastered on Xbox One; Free for 360 Owners

Slaughtering your way across the anarchic world of Castle Crashers is akin to looking through the eyes of a sociopath who majored in Medieval History while tripping on acid. Maybe you missed the surreal subversion of fantasy tropes the first time around, but its finally time to rectify that. Castle Crashers Remastered is finally out on the Xbox One. Coming in at $14.99 for first time Crashers, this enhanced edition of the beat'em'up is free for owners of the 360 version, so long as you pick it up before the 20th.

Mega Man style platform title

20XX Enters Beta on Steam Early Access

While many of us wait for what we hope is a worthy spiritual successor to Mega Man in the form of Mighty No. 9, developer Batterystaple Games has taken it upon itself to go ahead and just create its own game. With blackjack! And hoo- ok; maybe none of that, but it does have co-op! The game is called 20XX and is available on Steam Early Access.

We are only 5 days away from Destiny's The Taken King DLC, it only gives players three days to bring their team back together, acquire some new gear, and max out to level 40. This is just in time for the new raid, The King's Fall, that comes out on September 18th at 10:00 AM PT. This was confirmed during the Destiny livestream by Creative Director Luke Smith. It was then tweeted out simultaneously with the date and time.

Canadian developer Digital Extremes is certainly making true on their promise to provide a lot of updates to Warframe, the free-to-play action MMO.
