For me, one of the gems of PAX East 2013 was a game located in a tiny booth on the edge of the expo floor. Entitled Eon Altar, developer Flying Helmet Games ambitiously combines a tabletop RPG with a video game for a unique cooperative experience.
Join Luigi for another night in the haunted house. Explore a terror-filled valley filled with ghosts in order to track down the shattered pieces of the Dark Moon. Search every nook and cranny of five different levels in order to find hidden treasure and Boos. Make use of your Poltergust 5000 and the new "Dark-Light" to capture a wide variety of adorable ghosts. Team up with up to three other players and tackle the Scarescraper for even more ghostbusting action.
Ah, Easter weekend. A time for many of us to get together with family, eat lots of food, and pass out in a chocolate coma. A time for gamers to spend the weekend tending to the backlog. A time for, well you get the picture. There was a lot of news in the gaming community this week, thanks mostly in part to GDC 2013 in San Francisco. Oh, and the release of Bioshock Infinite (or GotyShock, as I lovingly call it). Finally, we bear witness to another machination from Hideo Kojima.
Chances are you've caught an advertisement for Defiance, the new shooter/MMO crafted by Trion Worlds. The game also happens to have an accompanying TV show of the same name debuting on the Syfy channel on April 15th. I recently visited Trion Worlds and put some time in with the sci-fi shooter, talking with developers, engaging in the Shadow War, getting crushed in PvP, and most importantly, checking out the co-op.

There has been a lot of pre-release news about Resident Evil: Revelations Unveiled Edition. News, trailers, and gameplay features have trickled down slowly from Capcom over the last couple of months regarding the title. The latest two pieces to surface about the uplifted version of the 3DS hit, Resident Evil: Revelations, are two trailers.
By now you've heard the news about the new character coming to Borderlands 2 and the bump in the level cap. The Psycho Bandit Krieg won't be arriving until May, but the "Ultimate Vault Hunter Pack" is dropping next week. A title update will accompany the upgrade, adding a few new items to the Black Market.
Most would agree that the Wii U loading screens haven’t been the most convenient for gamers. However, Nintendo is doing major work to improve on their system and remedy the situation. An upcoming Wii U system update will help to fix problem and speed up the load times between menus and returning to the home screen.
Everyone loves spiders. Defiance’s beta is now over, and so far gamers on all platforms are pretty pleased with what they’re given. While Trion Worlds getting as much feedback as they can from the players, those who were without beta keys may turn to many different videos for building hype. We are given a brief launch trailer, a short clip of the television show, and another Ark Hunter episode to keep us satisfied until the Tuesday launch.
Larian Studios are known for crafting thoughtful RPG’s. They have created wonderful games in the Divinity series, and the upcoming Divinity: Dragon Commander appears to push the envelope in strategy gaming. Returning to their roots, Larian has taken a traditional RPG and centered it around the meaningful interactions of players as the cornerstone. This game, which we have been following closely for some time, is Divinity: Original Sin. As a cooperative experience, we have taken a great interest in this title due to the fact that the greatest gaming immersion will come out of playing with another person.
