New Kinect Game Features Disney Pixar Characters and Co-Op

When the Wii opened up the whole "casual" gaming venture to the consoles (what feels like) many years ago, Disney seemed like a natural fit with this crowd. Afterall, they'd already been releasing plenty of tie-in games and other forms of interactive entertainment for years. The release of the Kinect, then, was yet another platform for the world's most famous mouse and all of his friends to hop onto to spread fun and cheer to the world. Kinect Disneyland Adventures was the first release to utilize the new motion controls, and coming out of this year's CES event, a new co-op title for the family has been announced featuring characters and environments from five of Pixar's films - Kinect Rush: A Disney•Pixar Adventure.

Changes to the interface, items, and stats abound

Diablo 3 Continues to Fine-Tune its Strategy with System Changes

Diablo 3 isn't out yet, but that doesn't stop Blizzard from telling us what changes they're making to the game (coincidentally reminding us we are not playing it, sadface). While we are a long ways away from being able to compile a Diablo 3 strategy guide we can survive for now on the occasional press release to hold us over.  Recently, Blizzard announced several system changes they would be implementing, ranging from interface tweaks to item removals to stat changes. If you're interested in the cliffnotes, we've trimmed it down to the short and sweet.

Shoot Many Robots Preview Reveals the Risk vs Reward

To say we're excited bout Shoot Many Robots around Co-Optimus HQ is an understatement.  Having had hands on time with the game and knowing just how ridiculously fun it can be has had us frothing at the mouth for nuts.  That didn't come out right, you see - when you kill robots in SMR they drop nuts and bolts.  Which is then used to upgrade your character and buy unique items.  Unique items like....BILLY A FRIENDS!  Hell yeah!

It's Time to Play the Music with the LBP2 Muppet Show Tonight

If recently reaching over 6 million user made levels was not enough for LittleBigPlanet 2, developers Media Molecule are doing even more for fans by partnering with The Muppets for The Muppets Premium Level Kit. The pack contains a bonus Rowlf costume (to go with the other Muppet costumes you can buy), but also 5 new levels, new stickers and 'Attract-o-Gel', which allows Sackboy et al. to walk on walls and ceilings.

Twisted Metal Will Include Online Pass After All

Way back in December we reported that David Jaffe, director of the upcoming Twisted Metal reboot, did not want the game to include an online pass. Jaffe's concern: the negativity associated with online passes could slow the game's adoption rate. Be that as it may, the decision ultimately falls on Sony, the game's publisher. Not surprisingly, Sony has indeed chosen to include an online pass withTwisted Metal.

Our Weekend in Gaming - The White Fluffy Edition

Snoooooooooooow!  Run for your consoles!  Much of the country seems to be have gotten or about to get snow, so it's a good time to game.  It seems the recent Gears of War 3 DLC has reinvigorated some of the staff into jumping back in with Marcus Fenix and friends.  The rest seem set on hitting up Steelport in Saints Row the Third.  All of that is mixed up with some careful backlog clean up as we prepare to head into an unusually busy February month!

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Co-Op Review

Sneaking mission?! ... Co-Op?!? ... HIGH DEFINITION?!?!! The 2010 release of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker saw the welcome addition of cooperative tactical espionage action to the otherwise solo only adventures of one Solid (or Naked) Snake, though being a PSP only release did somewhat limit the co-op (and screen size). So, does an HD release do anything to improve the co-op or the game as a whole?
