Still playable for now

QC Games and Breach Are Shutting Down

In a surprise announcement yesterday, QC Games announced that their studio will be shutting down, as will their action-RPG Breach. It's not clear just yet what the plan is for sunsetting this title, but the servers are still up and running if you wanted to get one last game in before it goes, though there's a certain caveat to that (see below).

A new healer is definitely needed

First Big Update for Breach Drops Today Along With The Price

The first big update for QC Games' Breach hits today and adds a whole new map, a new boss to fight, a new character to play (a healer, yay!), and some new foes to fight in the Tokyo map. Alongside this update, the game is also getting a price drop for the "base" package; the $25 Founder's Pack is going away in favor of the $10 Early Access Pass, and that's a good asking price, IMO.

QC Games' Breach is now available via Steam Early Access, but earlier in the week, Nick and I had the opportunity to hop into a play session with Dallas Dickinson, CEO and Co-Founder at QC Games, and Gabe Amatangelo, Game Director and Chief Creative Officer, to play a quick round and learn a little more about the inspirations for this unique action RPG.

Breach Hits Early Access Next Week

QC Games' action-RPG/dungeon crawling hybrid, Breach, will leave Closed Alpha and enter Steam Early Access next Thursday, January 17. This means you and your friends will all have the opportunity to play as a Chronomancer, Mana Warrior, Demon Hunter, Assassin, or one of the other 14 classes as you battle room-by-room through a procedurally generated dungeon.

A hybrid F2P co-op action RPG that is way more than the sum of its parts

Breach Hands On Impressions and Developer Interview

QC Games unveiled their debut title, Breach, a couple months ago during this year's Gamescom. Billed as a third-person, co-op action RPG, there weren't a lot of details about what the game actually was at first. After getting my hands on it for a bit, I can see why. This might be one of the hardest titles I've ever had to describe while also being one of the most fun.
