Grab a sci-fi blaster for gun games like House of the Dead Remake!

Martian Panic Alien Blaster: Nintendo Switch Accessory Review

The Switch is no stranger to light gun-style games, but these games lack a certain authenticity when played without a prop gun. That's where the Martian Panic Alien Blaster from Fun Box Media comes in. Originally bundled with the game, Martian Panic, the blaster turns a Joy-Con into an alien blaster with lights and sounds. It's a unique accessory that works with games like The House of the Dead Remake, not just Martian Panic.

The House of the Dead: Remake Co-op Review

The original House of the Dead arcade game is one of the titles for which Sega famously lost the source code, hence there were no further ports of the game after the Saturn and PC versions in 1998. Despite the first game’s limited availability, it would go on to spawn numerous sequels and even a terrible Uwe Boll film. Now, more than 20 years...

House of the Dead: Remake Returns to Life on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC on April 28

Exclusives aren’t necessarily a good thing for gamers, so it’s nice when a timed exclusive heads to more platforms. When the Switch version of The House of the Dead: Remake arrived at the beginning of April, we predicted that other versions wouldn’t be far behind. That has now proven to be true, because Forever Entertainment just announced that HotD: Remake will launch on Xbox, PlayStation, Stadia, and PC on April 28. That’s not a terribly long wait for beefier versions of the classic horror-themed shooter.

The House of the Dead: Remake's Performance Mode Is the Way to Play on Switch

The House of the Dead: Remake is finally available on Nintendo Switch. Resurrected by Forever Entertainment, the same masterminds behind Panzer Dragoon: Remake, this new release is a faithful from-the-ground-up recreation of SEGA's original House of the Dead light-gun arcade game. Naturally, it substantially improves the graphics over those of the aging 1996 arcade game. The Switch version also adds an optional performance mode in order to keep the frame rate high. New Details about The House of the Dead: Remake's Co-op and Competitive Modes

Forever Entertainment's remake of the classic lightgun shooter The House of the Dead is only a week away, so new information is starting to escape from the house's zombie-filled walls. The House of the Dead: Remake for Switch will feature both a co-op and competitive mode at launch, with the dual-wielding "Cowboy Mode" planned for a post-release update. Both digital and physical preorders have opened up, too, ahead of the game's April 7 release date.

House of the Dead: Remake to Escape Onto Switch This April

Nearly a year ago, Forever Entertainment, the studio behind the excellent Panzer Dragoon: Remake, announced that it would be remaking another Sega classic: The House of the Dead. The remake didn't arrive as planned last year, but the wait will finally come to an end soon. House of the Dead: Remake will arrive on Nintendo Switch at the beginning of April, complete with the series' traditional 2-player local co-op.
