He's back and more poorly drawn than ever.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Mister Chief

The addition of Halo 3 to the Master Chief Collection on PC has got the Co-Opticrew all revved up for the weekend.  You can bet we'll be cranking up that difficulty and slamming our heads against the co-op campaign for as long as our bodies will allow.  We may be older and less agile than the first time Halo 3 came to town, but you can bet we haven't lost our cooperative gaming expertise.  Honestly, though, it's probably a good thing we're a co-op site, because diving back into the competitive multiplayer would probably go... not well.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Building Blocks

The construct of time is becoming less and less stable here at Co-Optimus HQ, but I'm hearing from outside sources that another weekend is upon us.  With reality slipping into the same, Groundhog Day-esque loop, it makes sense that the Co-Opticrew has turned to simple building blocks as a way to force some sort of logic back into their lives.  Whether or not it will work remains to be seen, but you can't fault them for trying.

We're on the hunt for those sweet, sweet discounts.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Sale Squad

The Co-Opticrew is delving into the mire of Steam's Summer Sale and hoping to emerge with as many precious baubles as our wallets will allow.  You'd think year after year of discount-diving experience would make us a bit more savvy with our hard-earned dollars, but that's not quite the case.  However, we have posted a missive from our journey that may help guide any newcomers.  It's definitely worth checking out if you're wanting to pick up a few co-op games over the next week or two.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Flying Blind

The Co-Opticrew is throwing caution to the wind this weekend and playing whatever our sweet, gamer hearts desire.  While we typically advocate for a tightly-scheduled cadence of video game delights, we've decided to add a little variety into the mix.  After all, what's life without some spontaneity?  Who knows - if this weekend goes well, maybe we'll replicate these ideas in other parts of our lives.  Anyone down to hitchhike across the country next month?

Probably more like skirmishes, at this point.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Console Wars

Now that Sony and Microsoft have revealed more details about their upcoming consoles, you'd think the Co-Opticrew would be at each other's throats this weekend over who has the better launch lineup.  Not so, it seems.  Maybe ideals and opinions have mellowed over time, or maybe it just doesn't matter as much considering the current state of the world.  Either way, though, we have a pretty peaceful weekend lined up.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Delectable

And just like that, another sweet, sweet weekend has been plucked from the vine.  Will it be sweet?  Will it be tart?  Who knows!  All we can say for certain is that it contains a juicy center filled with video games.  In just a few hours, the Co-Opticrew will be embarking on a lengthy taste test, and we'll let you know about all the best parts come Monday.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Back In Action

The Co-Opticrew is back in action this weekend and, wouldn't you know it, we're planning on playing even more video games.  That's right, we're grown adults capable of making our own decisions, and if those decisions revolve around careening through space or obliterating fighting robots, then so be it.  Maybe one day, we'll have a weekend filled with yard work and reviewing our grocery budgets, but until then, you know where to find us.

Our Weekend In Gaming: One Long Weekend, Please

Most of the Co-Opticrew has an extra long weekend coming up, and we aren't about to let it go to waste.  You won't find us groggily staring at a blank Netflix screen at 3AM, no sir.  Nobody's gonna catch us lying in a pile of Four Loko cans while Avril Lavigne's "Sk8er Boi" plays faintly from a nearby 6-disc CD player.  Not a chance.  We've got work to do, and by "work to do", I mean "video games to marathon through."

Our Weekend In Gaming: Microeconomics

While financial experts around the world are working out just how badly the pandemic will affect the global economy, the Co-Opticrew has taken it upon themselves to bring about their own miniature economic investigation.  First, we're taking an in-depth, undercover look at the safety conditions of dwarven miners.  Then, we'll be figuring out how a monetary system is in any way possible on a remote island with approximately ten inhabitants.

Are we sure it's not Tuesday again?

Our Weekend In Gaming: Wait, what?

Let's be real with each other.  I'm not positive what time of day it is right now, and I'm definitely not sure if it's Friday.  The Co-Opticrew seems to be responding to my investigatory "Weekend in Gaming" email positively, though, so I'll take that as a sign that I'm in the right half of the week, at least.  As time continues to blur and meld into one interminable day, I'll try to keep things straight with our weekly(?) get-togethers.
