Our Weekend in Gaming - Where's My Firefight Edition?
Despite the plethora of games, everyone seems to want to get back into some Firefight action in Halo 3.
Nick "bapenguin" Puleo - "Dawn of War 2 tonight and hopefully some Firefight otherwise."
Mike "pheriannath" Katsufrakis - "I'll be hitting up some Last Stand in Dawn of War II as well as testing out the retail co-op modes in Uncharted 2, now that I've beaten the single-player."
Marc "DjinniMan" Allie - This weekend is pretty busy, but after hearing my kids singing along during Beatles Rock Band co-op night, I'd guess that will be the game of choice this evening, along with whatever else the kiddo wants to play."
Katrina "ShadokatRegn" Pawlowski - "This weekend will wrap up Mini Ninjas, and hopefully crack open some Prince of Persia or the campaign for Halo 3: ODST. "
Jason "OrigamiPanther" Love - "I plan on playing more AI War and, of course, the new Last Stand mode in DoW II. Kudos to Relic for giving me a new reason to be completely addicted to that game. I'll also be wrapping some things up in Brutal Legend, and possibly playing some Firefight in Halo 3: ODST."
Jim "txshurricane" McLaughlin - "I'll be playing Borderlands at the Gearbox launch party, and that will probably be it. If I get the chance, I'll hit Halo 3 ODST and Operation Flashpoint 2."

well i thought this weekend would be game-less but turns out when the groom's mother has a heart attack, that kind of postpones the wedding . really bummed about that... REALLY bummed.
to make up for it, my wife and i will be finishing up the ODST campaign then probably some halo 3 when my brothers jump on later tonight... not sure about the rest of the weekend but it will probably involve some firefight since we've hardly played it.
can't wait to hear what Jim has to say about his weekend ( ) and to get my own hands on borderlands next week.

I also have a whole pile of 360 games just waiting for me since my 360 has just arrived back from the MS repair center. So I'll probably randomly grab one depending on my mood. I could probably see myself playing some NHL 10 with some friends.
Have to resist the urge to go and pester all the local electronic departments...
there have been rumors of bestbuy selling it already... might have to stop by and see. amazon hasn't shipped my order yet
I'm a little surprised that there aren't any reviews out for it yet, seems like a lot of the games lately have had reviews going up a few days before release.
This is sometimes a bad sign. A lot of companies intentionally do not send out review copies of their games because they are afraid of bad scores. (this forces places like IGN to wait until the release date to get a copy like everyone else instead of getting a review copy well ahead of time.)
Hopefully this isn't the case with Borderlands...
Maybe if I can get up before everyone else tomorrow and Sunday I will be able to squeeze in some Uncharted 2.
I bailed out. A number of things contributed, but the short of it is that it just wasn't worth the travel time.

Probably more Vocals practice in Rock Band. Hoping to run through the Endless Setlist 2 with Vocals on expert in the future, so I could use a bit more practice on a few of the songs that I don't know like the back of my hand yet. I could use a bit of Borde-- I mean, Left 4 Dead as well. Maybe some Team Bo-- Team Fortress 2.
. . . Is it Tuesday yet? Can we just, y'know, skip the weekend?
