Find a happy place.  Find a happy place. Want to know what just happened to put me in such a fragile mental state?  Check out the new video for Kinect Star Wars.  It shows off the Pod Racing and Lightsaber games. Warning, the video also contains Stormtroopers dancing to the disco strains of The Village People's Y.M.C.A. What is seen cannot be unseen.

Kinect Star Wars is due out on 3rd April and the more footage is released, the more we suspect the game is 'family' orientated.  However, being open to all is not an excuse for poor gameplay, as the likes of the LEGO games and Rayman Origins have shown.  Make sure you check out Co-Optimus for a future review of the game, will the force strong be in this game?  Or will it be a pile of Jar Jar Binks?

Why oh why must games with great potential end up nothing more than a steaming pile of bantha fodder? The Kinect/Move/Wii have great potential at making a decent Star Wars game. Heck, I played the first Force Unleashed on the Wii and actually enjoyed it! But then they had to mix podracing and lightsaber dueling with dancing (everybody do the Tusken Raider!) and just ruin the entire game. I wonder what other cruddy mini games will be put on there in the end.

is it me or do the kids in the video seem a little embarrassed to be playing that dancing game?
