As we’ve said before, the arcade version of Double Dragon was a hugely influential co-op beat-em-up. It set the standard by which all subsequent “belt-scrollers” were judged, from Final Fight to TMNT. Naturally Double Dragon received a sequel, Double Dragon II: The Revenge. That game is now coming to Xbox Live Arcade courtesy of Korean developer Gravity Co, Ltd. and publisher Barunson Creative Co. Ltd.

Today we have the opening cinematic from Starhawk, the spiritual successor to the multiplayer-only Warhawk. Starhawk differs from its 2007 predecessor in several ways, two of them being the inclusion of a single player campaign and a 4 player online co-op mode. You can see an overview of the game here. While today's video may be short on gameplay, you can definitely get a vibe for the game world. It's like Firefly meets Section 8 and then they mixed in some toxic blue Rift poison for good measure.
Saints Row: The Third has another wild video for your viewing pleasure. There are plenty of nut shots, a little mascot surfing, and a couple of dildo beat downs. There's even a hint at the plot! In other Saints Row news, THQ recently announced some of the voice actors who will be bringing the over-the-top characters to life. Once again, Lost's Daniel Dae Kim will be voicing Saints Lieutenant Johnny Gat. The one and only Hulk Hogan will be taking the role of Angel De LaMuerte, who is, you guessed it, a professional wrestler. Sasha Grey will be voicing Viola DeWynter, one of the two DeWynter sisters responsible for the Syndicate's huge financial success. Her name didn't turn up anything on a Google search, but I'm sure she's famous for something...

In fact it sold so poorly, that Epic Games, the game's publisher, actually lost money on the People Can Fly developed title. According to some estimate that game sold around 300,000 copies - averaging about 100k per platform.
The summer co-op releases are becoming few and far between. Pick up a titillating stair climbing game to keep your mind right, or enjoy some low orbit skydiving. The choice is yours.
