No two snowflakes are alike

Capcom is talking about a sequel to their latest successful zombie slayer, Dead Rising 2.  Not only was DR2 a big hit, the XBLA exclusive Case Zero did very well, too.  The publisher says that Case Zero has had over half a million downloads.  I think making money is part of the Capcom business model, so expect more downloadable content to be heading your way. 

How many zombies have you killed?  Wait - don't answer - because whatever you say the correct number is "not enough."  Lucky for you we have more ways for you to get back to hunting zombies today...and kill them in style.  

If you pre-ordered Dead Rising 2 through Amazon.com you may be saddened to find out that the pre-order bonuses for it are missing in action.  We've just received an email from the retailer telling us the bonuses, pictured above with ServBot Helmets and Chuck motorcycle jackets for your avatar, have been delayed indefinitely.  Two weeks prior Amazon gave out $10 in credit because of, at that time, a short delay in receiving the codes.  Now it appears your virtual goods will never see the light of day.

Zombies ate my co-op neighbor

Did you pre-order Dead Rising 2?  Did you get a sweet Ninja theme, or a Sport Fan theme?  Do you see that picture up there?  Yeah, you chose wrong.  That's the Psychopath theme.  And you can get that and the other three available outfits in the coming month through the capitalistic miracle of spending actual money on digital clothing.

Sometime after the outbreak in Willamette County Colorado, Dead Rising 2 brings the fight to the Desert. Fortune City Nevada to be exact, and the slots are hot. Dead Rising 2 has a few new elements that we just couldn't wait to try out.

If you're looking to get your zombie killing fix, and lets face it, who isn't - today's co-op release is right up your alley.  Capcom's Dead Rising 2 finds its way to North American store shelves complete with online two player co-op.  The reviews around the web are starting to trickle in, we'll have the Co-Optimus one on Monday, but overall they've been pretty positive.

The launch of Dead Rising 2 is just around the corner, and the folks at Capcom have released this zombie filled trailer to whet your appetites.  Motocross champ Chuck Greene uses duct tape in ways that would make Doom 3 puke with envy.   Featuring two player online co-op, Dead Rising 2 releases September 28 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  No word yet on whether or not Chuck duct tapes two ninjas together to make one giant ninja.  Stay tuned to Co-Optimus for an upcoming co-op review!

This is one of those announcements that will either get people very excited, or piss a lot of folks off.  Dead Rising 2 isn't even on store shelves yet and Capcom has announced the first piece of DLC - one that's actually a stand alone title exclusive to the Xbox 360.  Called Dead Rising 2: Case West, much like Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, this downloadable title gives players a small story to play in the Dead Rising universe.  Instead of it being a prequel to Dead Rising 2, Case West is actually a sequel, taking place immediately after the events of the game.

Dead Rising 2 Case Zero came out a few weeks ago for 400 exclusively to the Xbox 360. Case Zero was presented as a sort of extended demo, prequel of the game where you get to keep your stats for the full game, as well as giving players a taste of how the weapon creation will work for the game. Case Zero also broke records for sales on XBLA in the first week, and has kept fans sated until Dead Rising 2's retail release in 2 weeks.

Apparently, not content to have only one special edition of Dead Rising 2, Capcom has announced an uber limited edition of the game only available on their online web store.  Called the High Stakes Edition, the pack not only includes lots of a swag - but a chance to win something truly unique - a 6 foot zombie statue.
