Game life on a console ain't what it used to be

Skate 3's Servers Are Online Again, Who Knows For How Long

I love this time of the year. Those couple weeks and days leading up to E3 when speculation and rumors run wild. In this case, those rumors revolve around the possibility of Skate 4 becoming an actual thing. The reason? For some reason nobody can understand, EA has switched the servers back on for Skate 3. If you miss doing tricks with your buddies, now's your chance.

Team Up With 16 Hunters in New Siege Event for Monster Hunter: World

Paging all Hunters, hop into Monster Hunter: World right now and tackle the newest monster, the golden Elder Dragon Kulve Taroth. This one's a little special, though; it won't just be you and three of your buddies this time around. Kulve Taroth is an especially "big boi" and thus 16 players must team up to bring him down and craft new gear from his sparkly hide.

Star Wars! So Much Star Wars…

More Original Xbox Games Will Be Playable On Xbox One This Month

In more great news from Microsoft, 16 original Xbox games are being added to the Xbox One’s Backwards Compatibility list. All of the titles either need to be purchased and downloaded through the Xbox Marketplace or played with a physical copy in the Xbox One. The first batch of 8 games is set to arrive on April 17th and the later 8 on April 26th. While a number of the games feature some sort of multiplayer, it’s the April 26th release of Star Wars Battlefront (2004) and Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005) that feature the Co-Op we’re most excited about.

It's time to get German up in this farm.

Farming Simulator 17 Is Getting ROPA Machines

Step aside, non-simulator games.  It's time for some news about games that aren't afraid to show you what it's like in the real world.  These games see the mundane nature of reality and say, "That's just how it is.  Deal with it."  They don't try to butter you up with "high scores" and "experience points".  No way.  They deal with real (virtual) issues and make you handle real (virtual) consequences.

Praise the high-def sun!

Prepare to Die in 4K This May in Dark Souls: Remastered

This seemed like an inevitability. Today, Bandai Namco announced that the popular third-person action RPG, Dark Souls, would be enjoying a new release this year as Dark Souls: Remastered. Not only will players be able to discover the mysteries of Lordran once more in high-definition and 4K resolution (for compatible systems), but you'll also be able to enjoy jolly cooperation with even more friends.

Krampus Is Currently Running Amok In Killing Floor 2

Since its release in late 2016, Killing Floor 2 has been chugging along with all kinds of updates and seasonal events.  The most recent of these involves the most terrifying of all wintry creatures, Krampus.  Are you brave enough to take him down?  I mean, to be honest, you probably aren't, but you may as well check out what all the update is adding anyway.

THQ Nordic is run by a bunch of mad men... and I love it

Titan Quest Headed to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Next Spring

I'm sort of out of words for how stunned/impressed I am by THQ Nordic these days. After releasing new DLC for Titan Quest (an 11-year-old game) a few weeks ago, the developer/publisher told THEMSELVES "hold my beer" and announced yesterday that they'll be bringing the action-RPG to consoles in March 2018. Not only that, but they're releasing a Collector's Edition of it, too! Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttt??!
