In a forum post yesterday, Hawken Entertainment announced that their cooperative, free-to-play mech shooter, HAWKEN, will officially be shutdown and removed from Steam early next year. All DLC and purchasable content has been removed from the Steam store, though you can still play the game and enjoy any content you may have previously purchased until January 2, 2018.
We've been hearing about it for the past few weeks, and the day of HAWKEN's rebirth on the consoles is fast approaching. The free-to-play mech shooter will be released on Xbox One this Friday, July 1, and will be released on the PlayStation 4 next Friday, July 8.
After the leak on the Taiwanese Xbox Marketplace last month, it seems 505 Games and Reloaded Games are ready to announce HAWKEN's console release... sort of? The free-to-play title will be coming to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 "late June/early July."
