New Zombies Update Coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on July 15

More zombies to fight and portals to seal are coming very soon.

For co-op enthusiasts, Zombies mode is always a highlight of Call of Duty games. The Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has slowly been telling the intricate story of Requiem, a CIA faction dedicated to sealing dimensional breaches and saving the world from a zombie apocalypse. That narrative continues with the impending arrival of 'Mauer der Toten' on July 15. Not only will it include zombies, but also a robot!

'Mauer der Toten' is the next chapter in the Dark Aether story taking place in Black Ops Cold War - Zombies. In this installment, the members of Requiem have been captured and tortured by the evil Omega Group's leader, Colonel Lev Kravchenko. If I understand the trailer correctly, Kravchenko needs Requiem to help him stop whoever has opened the latest portal. The team will also get help from a robot that escapes from captivity, a real highlight of the trailer.

Given the intricate nature of the Dark Aether storyline, Activision has put together a lengthy "Story So Far" blog to catch everyone up.

The free 'Mauer der Toten' update will arrive in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on July 15. This game's Zombies mode supports 2-player split-screen and 4-player online co-op. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, where it sells for $59.99, and Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, where it sells for $69.99.
