Our ININ Xbox Giveaway Has Ended! Winners Announced

The contest has ended! Congratulations to the winners.

It's always good news when a publisher brings its games to new platforms, especially when that publisher has lots of cool games to offer. German publisher ININ is known to publish a lot of great Japanese games on modern consoles, and they've just released a whopping six of their titles on Xbox. To celebrate, we're giving out four copies each of four of ININ's Xbox releases - that's 16 prizes in total! Update: The contest has ended! See winners at the bottom of this page.

First, the games that we gave away:

Clockwork Aquario

A 2D platformer from the developer of the Wonder Boy series, Clockwork Aquario features large, gorgeous cartoon-like sprites, backgrounds filled with vibrant colors and parallax scrolling, and a catchy soundtrack. See our co-op review for more details.

Clockwork Aquario sells for $9.99 on Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch.

Cotton 100%

A Super Famicom remake of the original Cotton arcade game, Cotton 100% is a 2D shoot 'em up featuring cutesy gothic characters. Although this one is single-player, some games in the series do feature co-op. See our Beyond Co-op review for more details.

Cotton 100% sells for $9.99 on Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch.

Panorama Cotton

The only Cotton title released for the Sega Genesis, this one is a single-player rail shooter in the style of Space Harrier. It's colorful, challenging, and fun. See our Beyond Co-op review for more details.

Panorama Cotton sells for $9.99 on Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch.

Ultracore

Like Clockwork Aquario, Ultracore was originally canceled in the 1990s and later revived and completed by ININ Games. This one is a single-player run-and-gun shooter that features both retro and new soundtracks.

Ultracore sells for $9.99 on Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch.

How Did you Learn About Co-Optimus?

  • "I follow Paul (EastXTwitch) on Twitch and he mentioned that he writes for Co-Optimus." - DEADPOOL1391
  • "Many years back (I lost count), I was introduced by a journalist friend." - IccyAsd
  • "It was 5 or 6 years ago, when I was searching on the internet for the best local co-op games on Xbox. I Googled something and found Co-Optimus, which instantly became my main source of information on co-op games." - ViniBT
  • "I learned about it from EastXTwitch's Saturday night streams." - imaidiot19

What's Your Favorite Co-op Game?

  • "TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. It was one of the games my friends and I played growing up, and it still manages to make me laugh. The thing I loved most is the variety in all levels, each one felt different from the last." - DEADPOOL1391
  • "Definitely the first Halo. I have fond memories of staying up all night playing through the campaign in split screen co-op. Doing it all in one sitting like that really made it seem like an adventure." - Justin Z.
  • "[It's] hard to decide, but my most recent memory is playing TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge with my dad last week. I only get to visit him three times a year, and he’s the main reason I have an interest in video games to this day." - Krvavi A.
  • "Earth Defense Force series [is a favorite] for the mindless killing of bugs, with the B-rated movie acting and voiceover." - IccyAsd
  • "Overcooked! It’s simple, fun, casual and yet very challenging. I had loads of fun playing it with my wife, and we’re still married after playing it!" - ViniBT
  • "Kirby Super Star. It’s a cute idea to make your partner an enemy instead of a second Kirby." - Torquey1994
  • "It Takes Two. I thought the story was pretty neat. Each level [having] its own mechanic was nice as well. The achievements were not really hard, and I had a lot of fun playing with my cousin." - SirKhalid
