Puzzle Arcade Co-Op Review

Sometimes you find a co-op game when you least expect it, and such was that with Eidos's Puzzle Arcade for the Xbox Live Arcade.  With seemingly no hype this game hit Microsoft's online service in what could possibly be a game that has the broadest appeal of any XBLA game to date.  Best of all it's easily playable in co-op with four players both locally and over Xbox Live.

Halo 3: ODST Concept Art

The folks at Bungie have released some concept art for their upcoming Halo 3 "sequel" called Halo 3: ODST.  The game puts players in the role of an Orbital Drop Ship Trooper, and is set between the events of Halo 2 and Halo 3.  The game is said to be darker and grittier style Halo game, but still retain that familiar Halo feel.  Whatever it is, I hope I get to shoot grunts in the head and they explode like a confetti filled balloon.   Only, instead of confetti, it's brains.

Dawn of War 2 "Enemies" Trailer

A few weeks ago we revealed to you the Dawn of War 2 "Space Marines" trailer.  It showcased "the good guys" in the upcoming RTS from Relic which will feature a co-op campaign.  Today we reveal the "bad guys" in the enemies trailer.  And while that may sound cliche, the enemies in Dawn of War 2 are anything but.  On display are the enemies of the Imperium, including Orks, a giant tank like vehicle called the Deff Driva and members of the Tryanids (think ).

A Pair of LittleBigPlanet Updates Bring Welcomed Changes

Well Christmas is over, and hopefully a lot of you folks got a copy of LittleBigPlanet under your tree.  If so you may have found an update or two upon putting the disc in.  But what did said update do?  Well there was actually two updates.  Version 1.06 added better level moderation, which, in our estimation was much needed.  What this means is your hard work will no longer be in vain.  If your level is removed for some reason, not only will you get an explanation of why the level was removed, but you'll still be able to play it locally.

"Aliens: Colonial Marines" Could be the Next "Left 4 Dead"

One of the most anticipated co-op titles next year is Gearbox's Aliens: Colonial Marines.  With four player co-op play set in the traditional Aliens universe, it's easy to see how this could be the best thing since Left 4 Dead.   While we've had numerous Alien games before, none have offered co-op play and none have put players in the raw experience of an Aliens movie.  DailyGame.net explains it best:

Even Diablo Himself Has the Holiday Spirit

Even though Co-Optimus is a young site, we've been lucky enough to see a few holiday cards arrive at the HQ.  Today we got a card I just had to share with everyone.  Blizzard's card features original artwork by Sam "Samwise" Didier and showcases a cast of characters across all of their games.  Just look how Lord Diablo spreads the holiday cheer!  If that isn't co-op, I don't know what is!
