The Xbox and PlayStation versions of Mojang's sandbox adventure game Minecraft will receive an array of new content as part of a free update deploying this week, including a new character skin that swaps in an alternate protagonist.

Want a new look for your Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition worlds, but like the current ones you’ve got? Enter the very first Texture Pack, “Plastic”! Gamers are now able to alter the way many of the game’s textures look with more plastic-like visuals, and it goes for a cheap price!
We finally have the confirmed list of changes and additions included in the next Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Title Update 12. Many of these items and tweeks will contribute to syncing the Xbox version up with its PC brother, but will not add the highly desirable horse mounts just yet.

With Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, more often than not that news is usually regarding a new skin pack. While these skin packs do not alter the actual gameplay in the slightest, they serve as a fun and entertaining alternative from the original skins. We enjoy distinguishing our co-op partners online by the myriad of skins that have been released since the game first came out for the Xbox 360.
It was only a couple of weeks ago that the much sought after Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Title Update 9 that featured the quest to enter “The End” and slay the almighty Enderdragon. Unfortunately, bugs and other glitches have been seen and reported by the community to 4J Studios, who have been working out the kinks since then. Legions of Minecraft fans will be rejoicing this week, as the new update for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is now set in stone. Update number 9, which will add the Enderdragon (among other things), has officially passed Microsoft certification testing and will be released this week on Friday, April 5th. We have been covering the changes that were to come with this update in previous weeks. The biggest change will be the addition of the souped-up Enderdragon.
