Return to Hope County This February in Far Cry: New Dawn

If you thought you were all done with Hope County, think again. Ubisoft announced Far Cry: New Dawn last week, which is being setup as a kind of mini-sequel to Far Cry 5. I'll go ahead say here that if you care at all about the ending/story of Far Cry 5, I'd avoid going any further in this news post... or reading the background section of the game in our database.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Coming Exclusively to Switch Next Year

While there were a number of exciting moments during this year's Game Awards, perhaps one of the more memorable ones for us was the reveal of a new Ultimate Alliance game, aka MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order. It should come as no surprise that plot of this game - following on the heels of "Avengers: Infinity War" - revolves around Thanos and his collection of cult-like followers, the titular Black Order.

New Trailer for Halo Wars 2, Get Halo Wars: Definitive Edition

During last night's Game Awards, Microsoft and 343 Industries showed off a new trailer for the upcoming Halo Wars 2 that put a little more focus on the Brute, Atriox, you'll be going up against in the campaign. They also made a surprise announcement that Halo Wars: Definitive Edition will be releasing on PC and Xbox One, and you can get it early if you pre-order the Ultimate Edition of the sequel.

Journey Wins Five Categories at the British Academy Games Awards

Journey is no stranger to awards. Just recently the game received two of them in the PSN Gamers' Choice Awards, the soundtrack was nominated for a Grammy, and a few weeks after its release it became the fastest-selling game in PSN history. Now, developer thatgamecompany has to make some more room on the trophy shelf, as the British Academy Games Awards recently bestowed upon it five brand new awards.

A Co-Op Game Won Best Multiplayer Game of the Year

In a world dominated by the Call of Duties, Battlefields, and Halos of competitive multiplayer - it was refreshing to see this year's Spike TV VGAs Multiplayer Game of the Year didn't go to a game based on competitive multiplayer, but rather to a game that solely support co-op gameplay in Borderlands 2.  The game also took home an award for Best Shooter.
