Not what I was expecting

Mortal Kombat 11 Will Get Co-Op Team Raids in Next Patch

NetherRealm Studios has revealed their bringing some co-op to Mortal Kombat 11, the latest entry in the long-running fighting series. The new mode, called "Team Raids," will pit three online players against one challenging opponent. While you will all be fighting the same opponent at the same time and all be doing damage to its health to bring it down, you'll be doing it in your own "fight line" so it'll look like a standard 1v1 match. Confused? Yeah, probably better to see it in action.

Special Operations Are Better In Pairs

Modern Warfare Spec Ops Co-op Confirmed

With the flurry of information that comes during E3 every year some nuggets of information can get skimmed over, and this particular one is pure gold. During the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare E3 Coliseum panel hosted by Geoff Keighley, members of the development team from Infinity Ward revealed that not only will the Special Operations (“Spec Ops” for short) return to the upcoming reimagining of the Modern Warfare series, but it will still feature co-op.

[E3 2019] - Gears 5 Arrives This September With a New Co-Op Mode

So much news, so little time! Rod Fergusson, studio head for The Coalition, took the stage during Microsoft's E3 press conference this year to talk about the newest entry in the Gears franchise, Gears 5. The last time we heard anything much about this game was during last year's E3, and it was a little surprising that not only did they have a new mode to show off and talk about, but a release date: September 10, 2019.

The last time we heard from Undead Labs about State of Decay 2, they were releasing some 4th of July themed weapons and zombies into the game. At the same time, they provided a rough outline of what was next for the zombie-survival game; specifically, DLC that would add a new co-op mode to the game. On Tuesday, they revealed that "Daybreak" will be arriving September 12 and will let four players team up to fight off waves of zombies.

No Campaign Co-Op for Dead Rising 4, Separate Mode Only

While it initially sounded like Dead Rising 4 was going to follow in the footsteps of its predecessors and support co-op in the main campaign, a recent hands-on demo of the title has revealed that co-op will be relegated to a separate mode altogether. If you want to kill zombies in the mall with friends, you'll have to do it without Frank.

SMITE's 3.17 Patch Adds Dedicated PvE Mode for a Limited Time

While Hi-Rez's SMITE has allowed you to team up with a group of friends to take on a group of A.I. bots in any of the main match types, it hasn't had a dedicated PvE mode until the most recent patch dropped on the PC. The new mode, "Xing Tian's Mountain," pits five players against a selection of challenges, like fighting two gods (Ra and Vamana) that become empowered when the other dies, with each one becoming more difficult the more you succeed.
