Microsoft is holding its own virtual demo showcase, similar to what Steam did a few weeks back. The focus is on indie games, with over 70 unreleased Xbox games that will be available to download and play between July 21 -27.
As part of the Steam Game Festival 2020, a limited set of games are getting some timeboxed demos. One of those is Project Haven, a tactical RPG set in a gritty futuristic city. There's definitely some Syndicate like vibes from this one, with a splash of XCOM - but Project Haven looks to do some unique things with camera angles possibly giving players some more control.

But fret not - because The Red Solstice 2: Survivors is making demos sexy again by having a demo version of the game made available on June 16th. While the title has been available since July on the PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch, Dragon Quest Builders 2 shifts over to PC next Tuesday, December 10. Square Enix released a playable demo for the game just this week so you'll have a chance to try it before you decide to buy.

BioWare's third-person RPG shooter, Anthem, is coming out at the end of February, but before that you'll be able to check it out yourself during an "Open Demo" period at the beginning of February.
A few months ago, Fatshark teased a follow-up to their popular cooperative FPS, Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide. Vermintide 2 is slated to come out sometime early next year with a number of improvements over the original, including a new hero progression system with different “career” options, a better loot system, and a new enemy force to face - Chaos. A beta is on its way, but ahead of that, we got to check out a limited demo and it left us wanting to see more.
