Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition Now Available on Consoles

If you're looking for something to do this weekend on your PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, then you might want to check Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition, which just arrived today. This updated version of the 2017 game includes too many tweaks, balances, and fixes to list (seriously, there's a 50 page document about what they did), but the bottom line is this: it's the same great game made even better.

Check Out Some Gameplay For Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition

Can you believe it's been nearly a year since Divinity: Original Sin 2 first graced us with its presence on PC?  I certainly can't, but then again, I've had trouble keeping track of time ever since the "original" Original Sin came out back in 2014.  Fortunately, I've found a nice chronological anchor to moor myself to, as Divinity: Original 2 Definitive Edition comes out on August 31st.

A promising start

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Early Access Co-Op Impressions

In Divinity: Original Sin, players embarked upon a grand journey with a friend, shaping their in-game avatars’ personalities and traits through their actions and dialogue choices. Larian Studios seems to have grander ambitions with Divinity: Original Sin 2, but that ambition can be a double-edged sword as it’s currently unclear whether they’ve improved upon the original game’s formula.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Is Headed To Steam Early Access On September 15th

Anyone creating a product for mass consumption will tell you how important it is to "test the waters" before presenting their creation to the world.  Sometimes, it's showing a friend a poem before submitting it to a literature magazine.  Other times,  it's giving a room full of Durham residents twelve different versions of the new "Glorpberry Prime" flavor.  Occasionally, it's letting thousands of CRPG fans ransack your fantasy playground, as is the case for Divinity: Original Sin 2.
