One of us is certainly with stupid...

Revisiting Earthfall Stream Recap

Last summer, we hopped into Holospark's FPS alien shooter Earthfall. The game was very much trying to capture that Left 4 Dead feel but with aliens instead of zombies. There were some interesting ideas, like the 3D printers for guns and setting up defenses, but it also felt like there just wasn't enough there. In the few months after its release, the devs did add some new content, so we figured we should finally hop back in to check it out.

Welcome The Militia

Latest Earthfall Update Adds New Weapon and New Skins

There are two things that make for a great update: a low price (or free!), and readily available when players want it. In the new Militia update for Earthfall, both of those boxes can be checked off since it is completely free and already available across all platforms. Much like the previous update, Inferno, the latest content brings a new weapon (grenade launchers), character skins and weapon skins.

New missions, enemies, weapons, and a Horde mode

Holospark Lays Out Next Three Months of Earthfall's Development

The Left 4 Dead-like, Earthfall, has been out for about a month now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and Holospark, the game's developer, has recently laid out a "development roadmap" for the next few months. There will be a minor update later this month and next month that, collectively, add a couple new missions, enemies, and weapons, and that will pave the way for a big update in October.

Co-Op Shooter Earthfall Will Support HDR on PS4 Pro and Xbox One S

While it will take a little while longer for the technology to reach a price point where everyone can enjoy 4K and HDR, that's not going to stop devs from getting the games out there that will take advantage of the graphical fidelity it provides. Seattle-based Holospark's debut FPS title, Earthfall, will join the ranks of those titles you will, someday, be able to enjoy in that higher res future.
