Alongside the free 'Left 4 Dead Character Pack 2' that released this week, cooperative horror shooter Zombie Army 4 also received a new premium DLC mission. These veterans know a thing or two about surviving zombie apocalypses.

The 'Left 4 Dead 2' Survivors Are Now Playable in Zombie Army 4

When Rebellion released the free 'Left 4 Dead Character Pack' for Zombie Army 4 in June, we suspected that it was only a matter of time until a character pack with the Left 4 Dead 2 characters followed. That has now come to pass - the new free DLC pack adds the four Left 4 Dead 2 survivors to Zombie Army 4 as playable ch...

Rainbow Six Extraction Gets Pushed to January 2022

Rainbow Six Extraction, the co-op title that started as a spin-off mode for the popular competitive FPS Rainbow Six Siege, has gotten pushed back a little bit. During E3 last month, Ubisoft announced that the game - which was previously known as Rainbow Six Quarantine, and Rainbow Six Parasite before that - would launch on September 16 this year. A few days ago, though, Ubisoft announced that they would need just a little more time to get it done.

Strange Brigade Co-Op Review

Rebellion is best known for its Sniper Elite and Zombie Army series of third-person shooters, and yet, those aren’t the only shooters up the UK-based developer’s sleeve. Back in 2018, Rebellion released a sleeper hit known as Strange Brigade. This one combines the studio’s signature third-person cooperative shooting with ample amo...

PlayStation gamers won't be crossing the play anytime soon, alas

Borderlands 3 Now Has Crossplay on Most Platforms

Borderlands 3 is one of the biggest co-op shooters around. It's not exactly hard to find other players with which to co-op loot-shoot, but more potential players is usually better, right? As of today's update, finding online co-op partners should be even easier; crossplay (cross-platform multiplayer) has finally come to most versions of Borderlands 3. The update also adds permanent seasonal event toggling, a new level cap increase, and more.

'Left 4 Dead' Survivors Join 'Zombie Army 4' as Free DLC

Zombie Army 4, Rebellion's co-op shooter, isn't shy about downloadable content. The game is currently in the middle of Season 3 of its post-release DLC. A new premium mission has just landed along with cosmetic items and weapons. Most excitingly, though is the addition of four playable characters from Valve's Left 4 Dead series. And eve...

Fantasy tower defense series finally returning to console

Orcs Must Die! 3 Will Escape to Consoles and PC on July 23

When Robot Entertainment released Orcs Must Die! 3 out of nowhere last year, the news was bittersweet. Many of us were glad to see a new game in the co-op action-tower defense series but less excited about it being a Stadia exclusive. Thankfully, it was only a timed exclusive, and Orcs Must Die! 3 will now be coming to Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam in July.

We at Co-Optimus had a great time with Strange Brigade when it appeared on PC and consoles back in 2018. It cleverly mixes the enjoyable third-person shooting of Rebellion's Sniper Elite and Zombie Army series with huge hordes of enemies, a rollicking Egyptian adventure, and humorous narration. A whole new set of players can enjo...
